Since 1987, readers have adored the remarkably quiet adventures of Jim as recorded in his daily journal. His work has been collected in several books, including the bestselling "I Went To College and it was okay." Jim's day-to-day meta-observations are penned with little more than stick figures, scribbles, and a few words, but his minimalism speaks volumes.

Excellent Jim…you’re being introduced to the adult world early (dead end jobs and loneliness). Except, in the future there will be no more socks from grandma…because there will be no more grandma. May I suggest sampling some of the more competitively priced brands of alcohol? Remember, “close to the floor, meant for the poor”. Happy New Year!

Ah yes, Louatwork, I like the bargain basement too. Back in the day, we could get moonshine for $2 per half gallon. Now it’s the high-price stuff. Still tastes bad, though.

I courted met my first wife through the magic of “The Good Monk” wine. If that wasn’t a call to sobriety then nothing is.

Yep. I had one of those, too. Lasted about 10 months. Hit a grand slam on the second one, though. 30+ years and counting….
