Reality is showing otherwise no matter how many childish names you or Morin call.

And unable to touch the Tea Party’s message all Morin can do is slander the hundred million people that comprise it, wish GoComics would stop spmming this bigot’s strip at me.

The middle of October ‘13, Congress refused to raise the debt limit (that the Treasury said would be hit on 17 October), it suspended it. As it turns out, the US debt subject to the ceiling did NOT hit the ceiling on 17 Oct, or since. The US debt subject to the ceiling is STILL below the ceiling.

No one has any idea when it will be hit, with the Treasury saying it will definitely be hit before the end of this month, and others saying it won’t be hut before May. And no one has any idea what happens if it is hit, since the Treasury computers are not programmed to handle that possibility.

So will the House cave as it did in Oct ’13, or will the Tea types convince Speaker Boehner to hold out for some concessions this time?

The US is, once again, proving that it is exceptional, the greatest country and the greatest force for good that has ever existed in the world. No other nation has ever threatened to default on debt in its sovereign fiat currency, an accomplishment for which every American must feel proud!

The same can be said of the Republican and Democrat parties. They too are shrinking, and shrinking fast. The growing “party” in America is “Independent.”

F.Y.I. The latest Gallup Poll showed the Republican Party membership at 23% of Registered voters, the Democrats at 35%, and “Independents” at 42%.
Highly doubtful that the TEA “Party” has a “Hundred Million” members, unless it’s the same figure mangling that can call a protest in Washington with 250 people a “Million Moms, or Men, or Truckers, or Patriots, or whatever, March”!

Better a threat to society than a threat to FREE society like the Progressive Left and Democrats are…

“The growing “party” in America is “Independent.””
If only we could preface it with “intelligent” we might get somewhere. I’m not saying it would eliminate the republicans or conservatives, but I am asserting if we could really get “intelligent independents” to vote we would more than likely return to a moderate middle ground and an equilibrium not this extremist controlled BS we have now. And that is what I think this cartoon is all about, a very small extremist group controlling what should be the leader of one half of CONgress. I think it is meant to demonstrate that the Will of the People is being usurped by a very vocal and extremely tiny segment of the governing body.
    .
Ahh, if only what you say could be true. I’m not doubting that you are telling the truth according to what people or ‘the polls’ say nor am I saying you are lying. I just don’t think people truly are as they say they are.

You’re talking about your world, right? Remember the government shutdown? Run by the tea-baggers in the HoR and Bohner too scared to LEAD the HoR and vote on a bill that would reopen the government until the tea-baggers had exacted their devastation upon this country? Yeah, once again you prove that your world and viewpoint has no connection to reality. None. I am sorry that this ’toon is so long after the event that you are unable to make the connection. Or maybe the cartoonist is privy to some current issue that I am not yet aware. Either way the ’toon is spot on.

Not to disagree or “help the enemy” (of truth, facts and reality) but in the interest of full embrace of the information, your liked article goes on to read, ”That list of members does not include people who say they sympathize with the tea parties or their goals. Adding in those people would swell the group’s ranks and possibly change its geographic distribution.”

And it continued to “By far, the “Boom Town” counties have the largest number of tea party-ers per capita – 3.27 for every 10,000 people. That may not sound massive, but no other community type is above 3.”

So if we take the current US population, 317,481,635 (it changes constantly so your figure will be different) and multiply it by the factor for the tea-bagger population in the “Boom Towns” of .000327 we en up with roughly 104,000, that’s right THOUSAND people. Hardly the 100 million claimed by the troll. If the troll were right that would mean that nearly every single republican, man, woman and ineligible to vote child would have to be a tea-bagger. It is simply statistically impossible.

So where your article admits the 67,000 figure is probably low when counting sympathizers or those who don’t voluntarily claim to be a tea-bagger, the number certainly is not as big as the troll claimed it to be.

You do realize that you can choose the strips you see. Go up to the top of the page and hit the little button that says “home”. Then you can go back to watching Faux news, with no danger of reality ever intruding on your little world again.

No Nantucket, what I am saying is that it is more important that society be free than we have a society where government is the central focus of everything.
That is, it would be better for America if we didn’t have a social welfare state, didn’t have a huge central government, didn’t have massive taxes.
Even if going without those things meant a change in the standard of living or in the wealth of the nation the people living there would be better off having more freedom to succeed or fail on their own rather than a dependence on government.
