    Trust but verify? Or jump directly to bombs and invasion? So much to consider. Did we have such vexing questions when the RepubliCons were pulling strings?

    Note that the Syrian weapons are on the verge of being destroyed. That Obama won’t let us kill any of our children in pointless Middle Eastern wars!

    The rwnjs know there’s no point wasting their time reading. They say, ‘We don’t listen to Rush, we’ve seen all this for ourselves.’ I don’t THINK any of them have been to Iran, but they’re not going to read the reports of anyone who has (anyone who’s been to Iran is obviously a Sunni jihadist, since everyone in Iran must be a Sunni jihadist).

    But, for those who actually CAN read, the London Economist says “Not only was the deal with Iran the best on offer, but it can transform the world’s most troubled region”. (The article, if one reads it, explains why. A reasonable refutation requires addressing the article. But, for all those who know what they know and won’t let facts get in the way, that would be a complete waste of time.)

    Another analyst, this one from Austin, Texas and not some furreners from London, says that Iran probably doesn’t have enough fissile material, or any way to get enough fissile material to build a bomb.

    Those who read both articles have a hard time thinking Iran cleaned up with this deal. Iran agreed to cameras, inspectors, destruction of the majority of their centrifuges and all their heavy water research facilities in return for the US returning about $4 billion of their own money.

    If that were really true, we’d be out of Afghanistan and Iraq by now.

    @Michael wme

    Reading the posts that exist between yours and mine, it is obvious that your assertion that there are many here who prefer to parrot opinions than to read and think for themselves is correct. It’s fun when people go out of their way to prove your point.

    Yep, nothing will destroy the Earth and all its inhabitants, animal and vegetable like peace. Let’s never negotiate for peace, or question those like Netanyahu, and our RWNJs in Congress who only want perpetual war, for perpetual profits. It might be worth noting that Israel plays a large role in OUR Military Industrial Complex as well. So, let THEM submit to the IAEA inspections, and sign some non-proliferation treaties?

    What a crock! The US has thousands of nuclear warheads, control of the seas, control of the skies, all the high-tech gadgets that money can buy. Obama is dealing from a position of enormous strength, and this ’toon ignores that. This ’toon, however, does feed red meat to the wilfully ignorant Fox News(?) types.
