More abuse of the “filibuster” than in all previous Congress’s, put together. It was about time to end the charade. Also, more attempts to take away Executive role than ever before, and they worship the guys who thought of “unitary Presidency” for “W”??

Mr. Bjork is probably wondering why the ending of this rule wasn’t taken for him.
@ Russel5419 – a question I often wonder. Clive Jenkins, a Jefferson scholar, portrays Thos. Jefferson on “The Jefferson Hour”, a radio show. He often brings up the exact same point you made. You might enjoy listening to one or more of the archived shows at their website.
They also portray other historical figures and have had some very good debates between folks like Hamilton and Jefferson and others.
Thank you for the great comment.

TIgger: look up the meaning of “assume”. I’ve never actually supported the filibuster rule unless used in EXTREME situations. Republicans have been using it on almost every appointment, AND BILL, brought forward, even many they SUPPORTED (off camera). That’s the abuse, not the use, of the “option”. Which, it’s always funny as well when Republicans WRITE laws, then vote AGAINST them! That’s a tad unique since Obama became President, if he agrees to sign their bill, they then revolt against it!
