That can’t be Darth Cheney on the cover, he’s NOT sneering!
Too bad he didn’t have to pay for his heart plant out of his own pocket!

Cheney says that he and his doctor, cardiologist Jonathan Reiner, turned off his heart’s wireless function in case a terrorist tried to attack him. Snerk!

I think they did an operation to level out Cheney’s mouth, as long as he was under.

It wasn’t a heart transplant, it was a heart installation.
He (it?) was heartless to begin with. Still is, actually.
BTW, on “60 minutes” on Sunday he he made a Darth reference.

Tea Party types (including Cheney) keep screaming that the ACA will cost the government an additional $2 trillion – $3 trillion per year. For this money, the lazy will get huge handouts, while the hard working will get nothing but death panels. Anyone who can read knows that has not the remotest resemblance to reality.

(Of course, decent Americans know better that to read when Fox, which is always Fair and Balanced, will tell them everything they need to know.)

The ACA MUST provide affordable care, since that’s its name. But few seem to have been able to see the reality. (I certainly haven’t been able to.)

Fox had three people who said they looked at the ACA and they wouldn’t be able to afford it. They’ve been called liars.

A comment in today’s New York Times (all comments must be approved) said the ACA would save their family almost $1,000 a month and let them use more doctors and hospitals than their pre-ACA plan.

But many here say the New York Times is just an Obamabot newspaper and not to be believed.

Does anyone here have any hard data? Real numbers? Actual out-of-pocket costs? Details on the physicians covered by the plan? (Mary Baker Eddy? Rex Morgan?)

Thank you so much for pointing out my spelling errors with a mild insult. I prefer to utilize my time trying to contribute ideas and thoughts to the thread rather than hacking on other posters with thin insults. Again thank you.

To the people who think that money is the sole determinator of the value of human life, it’s entirely proper to direct precious resources to save the life of a rich old man rather than some young loser who’ll probably never amount to anything anyway.

Why should he hold back (if what he said was even an insult, which it wasn’t). You don’t. Or is there a different standard depending on the poster?

    @Gore Bane

I can’t recall seeing where anybody handed Dick Cheney anything on a silver platter.

I guess those five draft deferments don’t count…

As I recall, he worked his butt off in the private sector in between being a Congressman from Wyoming and SecDef.

Cheney went right into government service after college. He spent 5 years at Halliburton, and I’m sure he did some grueling work there, lobbying for more government contracts.
