Yeah, the delusional disorder is alive and well in government. And in corporations. And in churches, universities, military, businesses, individuals, etc.

Ten yards in a cloud of diversion. BUT voting time is coming. We’re ten yards closer to that.

While the majority of Americans blame the House Republicans and would vote against them if they could (as they foolishly did in ‘12), the patriotic gerrymander will eat a lot of those votes. Enough that the House will remain about as it is now? We’re currently right on the edge of THAT particular cliff. The best polls show enough anti-GOP sentiment that the ’14 election for the House will be a majority Democratic vote for the House, but a 50/50 chance for a switch to a Democratic controlled House.

“democracy” is what Obama cried as his lap dog Reid did his stalemate. The Senate needs to go back to being appointed by the States! They have lost touch in that they are there on behalf of the STATES to look after the welfare of the STATES. Reid was not doing his job, he was being a yes boy to his party and Obama! Result, they got nothing done but a stalemate.

They got much more than a “stalemate”. Mitch McConnell gave them the perfect way to get what they want.. Present your demand at the last moment and threaten to filibuster if your “pork” is not included as a separate line item.
As the last spectacle proved.. everyone is so desperate to avoid a default.. a little “pork” is ignored.. for the good of the country.
Cut government spending, the mantra of the republicans.. except for personal pet projects. Well played Mitch McConnell

See, Harley, the thing about direct election of Senators, is that statewide elections cannot be gerrymandered.

The shutdown was a big victory for McConnell. He got funding for a dam project in his state.
    -
Not that that money will increase the deficit or anything.
    -
And NO jobs will be created, since we all know that Government Cannot Create Jobs.
    -
Not that pork was loaded onto essential legislation. But,
IT’S OKAY IF A REPUBLICAN DOES IT!

Well that is a Democratic tool. But the point is the original intent was for them to be appointed by the State for the State. it is one of the things that used to make us the United STATES of America. Then they were not to go there and be a pawn of the party or a yes man to the President. If they were their to truly the the job they should not even be apart of a political party. The Senate is there on behalf of the STATE. With that in mind what benefit did Harry Reid get for his state not bring up votes on the budget?

So where did this “create or save” BS come from?
But you are half right, the PRIVATE sector creates jobs. unfortunately Obama thinks it his job to hinder the Private sector in ever way he can. From the IRS to the EPA to other alphabet agencies Obama uses to KILL jobs in the private sector.

^ I don’t know what you mean when you say “create or save” BS. If you’re referring to the "government cannot create jobs’ quote, it’s been said over and over by Republican legislators, especially Eric Cantor and Paul Ryan.
    -
I guess you must believe that McConnell’s dam project is a good one, since it’s sponsored by a Republican. But feel free to correct me if you think it’s not.
    -
Nice expression of hatred for Obama, though.

The bar has been set so low by the House that this is what success looks like now in Congress.
