Get ready for higher premiums and higher taxes under the Unaffordable Health Care Act!
“Based on a Manhattan Institute analysis of the HHS numbers, Obamacare will increase underlying insurance rates for younger men by an average of 97 to 99 percent, and for younger women by an average of 55 to 62 percent. Worst off is North Carolina, which will see individual-market rates triple for women, and quadruple for men.”
Good job Democrats! Kick the young people when they’re down.

Nailed it! We could pay everyone’s premiums for life with the amount we spent on that complete boondoggle of Iraq — and we would have had a healthier nation and fewer enemies in the Mideast!

Oh, but you forgot to cite a reference. Is it because, perhaps, you don’t want us to see the source?

I’ve seen similar studies. Did you bother to read the methodology of the analysis? My guess is they only looked at the cheapest insurance packages that covered next to nothing. Those rates will raise because they actually have to provide coverage now. Those with decent health care plans aren’t expected to see a raise in their rates because their plans already meet the new minimum standards.

    My bad. Here’s the article.

Actually, they looked at several plans available and the effects it would have. Of course the HHS hasn’t been very forthcoming with all their data, but it looks like if you live in Colorado or New Hampshire, the presidents promise of lower premiums will hold true.
The rest of us are screwed.

“Worst off was Nebraska, where the difference between the cheapest plan under the old system and under Obamacare was 279 percent for men, and 227 percent for women: more than triple the old rate. Faring best was Colorado, where rates will decline for both 27-year-old men and women by 36 percent. The only other state to see a rate decline in this analysis was New Hampshire: 8 percent for both men and women”.

I am going to use your data for my reply.
WTF is going on with the disparity of rates?
If Premiums for citizens varies that enormously from state to state somebody is getting stolen from.
    .
Perhaps it is time for some regulation so the rates are a bit more even regardless of where in America you make your home.
If the lower rates are making profit the higher rates are outright stealing and need oversight.
