    yes, as ConserveClown and Hardlykeen are demonstrating the goopers are trying the strategy that failed so miserably against Bill Clinton – the make-a-wish scandal machine. They run around with their hair on fire about whatever BS they can make us & hope something sticks.

    Then they wonder why the public isn’t as outraged as they & the shut-ins who watch FAUX News are without understanding that most people can tell the difference between a real crime & the lunatic ravings of morons likr Con Issa.

    And why don’t you say the same about ConserveGov?

    I take it you don’t know about Issa, who appears to have torched his own place for the insurance…

    He has been accused of stealing cars several times but I don’t think the charges ever stuck.

    Dycel — are you aware that the Borowitz report is satire?

    Let us hope he can drive it right up to the White house lawn. Eric Holder may have been behind it but you can not tell me that his boss did not know what he was doing.

    @David

    That was a great article, I read all of it.
    It corroborates what I had heard before.

    If anyone was determined enough to find a smoking gun related to Benghazi, it is Mr. Issa. The fact that there is yet to be anything greater than a quote from Ms. Clinton that sounds spectacularly awful when intentionally removed from context gives me a feeling that there’s none there. Nine investigations. Nine. Unfortunate? Yes. Tragic? Yes. Preventable? Yes. Criminal? Not that I can see. Time to move on. There are plenty of legitimate problems to delve into.

    The old, “I believe it! Therefore, it MUST BE SO!”, form of argument, as applied to both intentional, and un-intentional, mis-statements, and/or deliberate fantasies, and imaginary presentations, is as old as humanity. More or less as with false “patriotism”, it serves as a major “refuge of the scoundrel.” – and of course, the prime focus for any and all expenditure of time, energy, and effort for the politician, of any stripe, who chooses to use it.
