    To Repeat – WORSE PRESIDENT EVER?

    Well 9/11 happened on his watch.

    He tripled the national debt.

    Started two unnecessary wars, against countries that had nothing to do with 9/11.

    He never got Bin Laden.

    Never got the oil from Iraq.

    Gave “No Bid” contracts to his friends.

    Shot a lawyer in the face (Not that is a bad thing.)

    Still, I wouldn’t call Dick Cheney our “Worse President Ever!”

    Aaah yes, if we look at the hurricane itself there were republicans who blamed Obama for it (not Katrina obviously, since I bet you need that pointed out).Now looking at the response then you can most certainly blame Bush.

    Why anyone would want to be President is mind boggling, especially in the 2000s. Each of the five men at the library deal with the would’ves, could’ves, and should’ves. It is too bad that we spend so much time placing blame or making defenses that we totally forget to put into place the lessons learned. And the legislators with whom our Presidents have had to worked have declined in quality, ethics, and even intelligence on both sides of the aisle.
    I wish Mr. Bush good luck in the future, and wish our future presidents to be wise and able to build consensus between parties.
    Respectfully,
    C.

    @Ken Warren

    Never went to Iraq for the oil.
    The Democrats were in charge of the “no Bid” contracts.
    Clinton ignored the first attack on the World Trade Center and never got Bin Laden.
    Started 2 wars with countries that did have to do with 9/11.

    One might think this is a liberal library, they all need a target to blame. No real solutions for them, just the hype and blame.

    @Mr. King

    When one of Obama’s drones circles your house, and he initiates marital law in your town (as was done in Boston), maybe, just mabye, you will open your eyes and engage what little brain you have left.

    @ghostkeeper

    So, levees that are over 150 years old deteriorated only during the Bush administration? There is massive flooding in the midwest right now from rain water going over the levees there. From your logic we should be going after Chairman Obama for not making sure that the levees were high enough to handle the rain. He should be tried for not stopping the Boston bombers. He should be held responsible for not taking pressure cookers off the shelves of stores, because he knew that they could be used as a bomb.

    Liberal “logic”, I don’t know if it’s simply pitiful or should be used as material for Saturday Night LIve?

    This political statement, ( I refuse to call it a cartoon) is sick!
    The problem with the USA today is that respect is declining and the right to disagree is killing others.

    “It is too bad that we spend so much time placing blame or making defenses that we totally forget to put into place the lessons learned.”

    Amen to that. Thank you for your rational remark. Could we now move on from the continual vitriolic comments and hate level focus? We know the problems, quit wasting time being immersed in the past and focus on the solutions!

    I’m sure this isn’t a popular remark, but Bush actually implemented some good programs (I love medicare part D) that benefited millions of people. He initiated and supported programs in Africa that saved millions of lives from both malaria and Aids. I hated the wars (still do) but I can find a list of things (good and bad) to hammer any president we’ve had. I personally think you almost have to be nuts to take the job to begin with.

    Zoid: Clinton authorized the military to kill bin Laden and get the camps in northern Afghanistan, but those “high tech deadly accurate” missiles, landed in the wrong damned COUNTRY! They didn’t just miss the camps, “time frame” was actually irrelevant. Also in the first Gulf War, our cruise missiles, highly accurate of course, also managed in a couple cases to land in Saudi Arabia instead of Baghdad. So, all that money spent on “defense” might occasionally be questioned by “sensible people”??
