The worst part is that this is a real opportunity for Congress to kill off some sacred cows giving their ‘contributors’ the perfect excuse. ’Gosh, I wanted to save your program/subsidy/tax break, but, you know, the sequester.

They could actually use the situation to set priorities.
-
Of course, they would have to work for the good of the country and cooperate with each other.

NO! What more needs to be said to a Communist and a traitor? Lame duck hell, he’s a dead duck! Is there anything more repugnant than having to listen to this miscreant’s rants? Thank God for the mute button on my remote control!

Doing their job to stop some of the stupidity. Obama needs more non yes men to stand up to him if we ever want to get back on track in the USA.

Very good point Braindead. However, I fear the GOP only hears people like the very angry skipcarlsen when considering any bipartisan actions and the democrats under Pelosi and Reid have engaged in their own overly partisan behaviors that have hardened GOP positions. Mr. Reid had a chance to change the rules of filibuster and didn’t. Both parties have worked hard over several decades to bring us to the pit of despair.
Mr. Arial’s cartoon from this morning reflected the situation well.
Good thoughts Braindead, I hope the parties start working together soon.
Respectfully,
C.

Skippy, it’s pretty obvious you have not the faintest idea what a “communist” is – except it’s very, very scary and the Koch brothers told you Obama are one.

Gridlock is saving America.

I’d like to see the dollar removed from campaigns and politicians…
I’d love to read the truth……rather than opinion..
I wonder if all these tea-baggers really know why they oppose our President so ???

Normally I ignore buffoons like onguard but want to respond that gridlock is DIVIDING America in the worst way.
Destroying government and reforming it are completely different things. Onguard’s heroes in the GOP are unpatriotic scoundrels whose political purity is more important than the nation as a whole. They choose to destroy and deflate rather than build and reform because THEY ARE INCOMPETENT and don’t have the ability—politically or professionally—to do anything other than destroy. That’s pathetic and unacceptable for anyone who’d be audacious enough to call themself a true American.

Want to get the economy working again?
Why don’t we all support returning us to the days before the banking industries became “investment” banks.
The creation of derivative trading has driven “supply and demand capitalism” out the window and saddled the taxpayer’s with huge risks.
Rising costs for everything traded on the futures market is the direct impact of derivatives traded by the biggest banks who have huge $228+ Trillion in margin capital debt being hedged against real capitalism demand with the taxpayer waiting to save them when their casino goes bust!

These are just a few of the recent reports on the derivative timebomb.
While we get sucked into our political disfunction we have a real threat over all our heads, past time scream about it instead of pissing and moaning about the sequester which in retrospect is a minor issue!
