    IF I were water-boarded I sure would consider it torture. Our country used to say it was a war crime when it was done to American soldiers.
    gotta put that mile on your own foot.
    Think about being head down, buckets of water poured or hosed on your face, surrounded by a crowd that hates you and will probably kill you. Do you think that feels like torture?
    If this happened to me I would tell them what they wanted to hear, even (especially) if it wasn’t true. “Ima told me he was hiding in His bunker” for example.
    Also please don’t ask Ima to "come in, please. He will anyway and doesn’t need invitations to start his troll party going.

    I call waterboarding ‘enhanced interrogation.’ Under US law, it is absolutely NOT torture, the US has never and will never torture anyone (I got this from an American’s response to a German accusation that the US uses torture—as if the Germans have any right to accuse the US).

    
    If the US applies thumbscrews, the bastinado, the rack, or electrodes to the genitals, it is NOT torture.

    
    Of course, if the enemies of the US force a senior US official to sit in an uncomfortable chair, THAT’S torture, and is a violation of the Geneva Convention, the Laws of War, and is a Capital Offence!
