You have identified one of conservatives biggest problems – ConserveGov (paid for by the GOP) is a prime example

Six comments so far and none say anything about the merits or faults of the bill.

Yes indeed, he is the guy that trashed the US economy. It didn’t help the world as a whole either.

Well, that wasn’t the point of the cartoon. Also this bill will go nowhere fast in the House. Oh, and Lindsay Graham, co-sponsor, is threatening to withdraw his support if same-sex couples are treated equally. How can you NOT do that if you treat them – finally – equally in the U.S. military and DOMA is on it’s way out? So the bill is basically DOA, which is good, because it gives President Obama a chance to come up with his OWN bill and score more points. This Senate thing, that was just the GOP panicking after someone gave them the REAL numbers on the demographics…

    Analytical enough for you? :-)

You can look to Bill Clinton for the trashing of the economy. Obama is just piling on unsustainable debt.

Bill Clinton? You really are the stupid party. We had a surplus, or weren’t you there? As for the merits of the bill, it will be a Democratic bill (since the House under Boehner won’t be able to get anything done, he’ll have to use the senate version), and it will be passed by a majority of Democrats and a minority of Republicans. The Republicans will try to take credit, but it’ll be “See? Even though we didn’t support the bill, we allowed it to pass! We’re on your side!” I suspect that Hispanics will not be impressed, and will not change their votes.
