    Six comments so far and none say anything about the merits or faults of the bill.

    Yes indeed, he is the guy that trashed the US economy. It didn’t help the world as a whole either.

    Bill Clinton? You really are the stupid party. We had a surplus, or weren’t you there? As for the merits of the bill, it will be a Democratic bill (since the House under Boehner won’t be able to get anything done, he’ll have to use the senate version), and it will be passed by a majority of Democrats and a minority of Republicans. The Republicans will try to take credit, but it’ll be “See? Even though we didn’t support the bill, we allowed it to pass! We’re on your side!” I suspect that Hispanics will not be impressed, and will not change their votes.

    @ConserveGov

    Morin’s not the one treating Latinos like simpletons. Unlike the GOP, he realizes that they’re not stupid enough to be bought off by immigration-plan goodies from a Republican party which still has no clue about economics. “It’s the economy, stupid.” The Latino knows that; the GOP apparently still doesn’t.

    Bill Clinton is responsible for Bush era economics? Your avatar is appropriate—you seem to live in an alternate universe where what happens here is the exact opposite of what happens wherever you’re from. Must be confusing for you.

    Clinton. Right. Funny how we had a surplus when Clinton was running things. We only started piling on unsustainable debt when Bush decided to finance two wars, a Medicare expansion, and a tax break for the rich that he couldn’t afford. Obama has cut more from the deficit than any Republican president ever, but it doesn’t get mentioned on Fox News, so you wouldn’t know it.

    No…the economy started to pick up before the 2010 elections, after that,the recovery slowed.

    Oh, and Bush inherited that same Repub Congress Clinton had. In fact,i t became even MORE Republican…and that was when things really started to go downhill.

    Also, Google the words 1993 Omnibus Spending
    Bill

    And please don’t post that fairy tale about Obama and the Dems owning it for two years. That one’s been debunked only about a hundred times already, it was actually more like 72 days
