    Wow Dems get 50.9% of the vote and now they think everybody agrees with them. I guess it’s nice to live in little bubbles.

    Gosh, no reason for Republicans to work for anyone’s interests except for those of the wealthy.

    @ConserveGov

    Bush got 50.7% …..
    “Bush staked his claim to a broad mandate and announced his top priorities at a post-election news conference, saying his 3.5 million vote victory had won him political capital that he would spend enacting his conservative agenda.

    “I earned capital in this campaign, political capital, and now I intend to spend it,” Bush told reporters. “It is my style.”

    Perhaps, but that larger bubble is getting bigger all the time, and the ultra conservative Republican bubble is getting smaller all the time.

    By 2014, the disparity will be quite a bit larger, and by 2016, can you say hello Madam President to Hillery Clinton ( if she would even want the job by then)?

    “The Republicans want a country where a person can start a business and become successful and not be destroyed by taxes.”

    Oh really? Then why were most of the bills coming out of the 2010-2012 House fixated on immigrants and women’s reproductive rights?

    Facta, non verba: deeds, not words. As Morty said, lead by example, and people will follow.

    Lead with words only, and you’re left with empty speeches.

    Doesn’t matter what the margin was. We’ve had three presidents’ versions of the trickle down theory. Guess what? It’s a THEORY, and it doesn’t work. If it did, we’d have full employment and a healthy economy. Here’s the reality: The Dems won. The Repubs LOST. Suck it up and deal with it.
