the way the Republicans are going, Obama may be forced by popular acclaim to be a three term President just to finish cleaning up their messes.

Turtle-boy McConnell is an embarrassment to the Congress, the State of Kentucky, The Republican Party, and the entire United States!
Throw McConnell OUT IN 2014!

Umm……. 51% wanted another 4 years. Not exactly a tsunami of enthusiasm. Btw…I can see the lefties are already setting up excuses for this term. Not a good sign.

@ConserveGov Then perhaps, if the party of “NO!” starts to put the general good of the American people above pure ideology then maybe the “lefties” might not even have to have excuses at all!!Or did that even occur to you?Just in case you did not even realize it, the party that I refer to is the Republican Party in Congress, and in particular the Tea Party part of that party. The other side of the political spectrum has already compromised so much, that its own base is already unhappy!

Senator McConnell had just one goal when he was elected in ‘10. He failed miserably.
I’m going to go way out on a limb here, and predict that McConnell will succeed 100% this time, so that Obama will definitely not win the ’16 election.

It would be nice to see the likes of Pelosi, McConnell, and Reid brought home by their constituency and replaced by people that are interested in solutions to problems and not their personal aggrandizement. Replacing those Congressmen that were too feinthearted to crawl out from under the the leaderships’ thumbs and vote the will of their constituency would also be nice.

The American people seemed pretty sure last week of what kind of people they DIDN’T want ….

My wife is American. She emigrated to the UK when we married 11 years ago.
She has adult-onset asthma: her lungs were damaged in a bad bout of influenza. Because of this – and because she’s self-employed – it was impossible for her to afford the Insurance premium required in the States.
Even though she took a night-time job, purely for the Health Insurance. they refused to pay for the full cost of her maintenance drugs or for an operation on her nose which would relieve her breathing problems.
In the UK, she gets all of her drugs for a modest one-off annual payment and she had the operation she needed. The quality of her life has improved immeasurably. She loves her country but would not move back there because it would mean a deterioration in her healthcare.

I don’t know, King. It looks to me like the undecided went into the voting booth still undecided and flipped a coin.

-——————————————-Maybe not, but Bush declared a Mandate From The People with an even slimmer margin.

@NebulousRikulau
50.4% for Obama vs 49.6% against O is political misuse of “mandate” (and I’ve seen landslide also misused). Nonetheless, he won and we should support him as much as our consciences will allow.

Not sure about your claim on the death of your FIL but the rest of your post is pure BS, not a correct claim in the entire thing. Pull your head out of FOX News @ss and try living in the real world

To say nothing of his lose in 2000 when he was encouraged by the media (Led by New York Times own David Brooks) to rule as if he had a mandate anyway. He did & look at the mess he created!
Obama is much more sensible then Boy Blunder and has tried to reach compromise on every issue. One of the big reasons the stimulus was not as good as it could have been was his willingness to have massive tax cuts added to it that did nothing to help the economy.
Meanwhile McConnell and Boner play Lucy trying to encourage “Charlie Brown” to kick the football.

Finally a great picture of McConnell. (He should give some tips to Chuck Asay.)
