    You can also collect, and then toss away, select voter registration forms. You can advertise a voting date which is a week after the actual election in select neighborhoods.

    You can also print the right date in English and the wrong date in Spanish on the official voter cards:

    @ConserveGov

    Or, of course, there is this; a Republican registration official throwing away completed voter registrations when they register as Democrat.

    Question:

    If this plan had gone forward, how would the new ‘Voter ID’ laws have caught it?

    Or any of the instnances of Republican malfeasance listed above?

    Preventing 21 million legal voters from voting to stop what has turned out to be a total of 10 fraudulent votes in a decade is overkill. The Republicans are just scared because Clinton showed that the more people get out to vote, the more likely they are to vote Democrat. The Republican party still has aa problem with first time voters (18-21 year olds), minority voters, and the elderly receiving state assistance. Maine tried to suppress the first time voters by removing our same day registration. Turns out, I wasn’t registered myself (I voted yesterday) and would not have received my mail-in application in time for this election without it.

    Well let’s see. Then plan was to use various documents as proof of identity – none of them a photo ID – so IF the polling place required a photo ID then I suppose the miscreant would have been exposed.

    But who knows.
