ANsmdy, you forget that the rules that apply to conservstives don’t apply to brloved liberals. All a politician has to say: “I’m for helping everyone but the rich” and its hands off.

Besides, if the move that Sarah Palin has just pulled off turns out to be a winner sit back and watch the meltdown of the main stream media.

The uproar over Palin’s wardrobe was because the campaign paid for it, all while portraying her as an ordinary mom.

And Gary, when has Michelle not been portrayed as a super mom???

Oh, and Gary, who do you think is paying for Michelle’s expensive tastes?

I’d rather have the RNC pay for Palin’s clothes than the ENTIRE COUNTRY (taxpayer money) pay for Michelle’s clothes.

I saw another political cartoon earlier this morning where a car had a bumper sticker on it which said “Palin for President - 2012-2014 1/2.”

If you read the comments in the Anchorage (Alaska) Daily News articles online, you will see that not many residents of Alaska even like her.

Some people thought Sarah Palin was a speaking in tongues Pentecostal because she attended an Assembly of God in Wasilla for quite a few years. But, her pastor during her teen years said that they didn’t do anything that would make people think the church was actually Pentecostal in its doctrine.

The Obamas have plenty of money of their own (book sales); they don’t use taxpayer money for their personal purchases. Find something else to gripe about.

This cartoon is not about her wardrobe. It’s about her sudden and shocking resignation which caught everybody of guard.

When the drinks finally hit her
    she said, “I’m no quitter.
But I’ve finally quit living on dreams.
    I’m hungry for laughter
    and here ever after
I’m after whatever the other life brings.”

write-off, you are quite full of something … the taxpayers don’t pay for Michelle’s clothes … there is no clothes allowance for a first lady …. jeez … did you just make that up?

Michelle’s clothes are paid for by the Obamas … remember the flap over Nancy Regan’s gowns? the value of donated gowns must be reported as income for tax purposes …. Nancy kept taking the gowns by never reported them … it’s in the history books … go to the library and read one

I love the way the right is defending this massively unqualified, probably corrupt, anti-American who took down McCain’s campaign (not to mention treating it as a gravy train). Hello? Anyone read the Vanity Fair article? McCain’s team is stomping her, not the “liberals.”

Kingoswald, if the clown does pull it off any the media won’t be much of a concern, the whole d@mned country will be in melt down. And what you haven’t grasped is you wingnuts will sink along with everyone else.

Actually, conservative commentators such as Noonan, Parker and Brooks are NOT defending her. But then they’re the intellectuals in the group.

She provides more chaos for the Republican party. Will they ever be able to elect a moderate, progressive person, or will they now be only the party of the fundamentalist right?

Oops, I’ve just realised I had misread the cartoon’s intent.
“I have not yet begun to fight” is a John Paul Jones quote.

I vaguely recognised the stance shown in the ‘toon as being from some famous portrait but thought Napoleon at 1st.

I had never heard of John Paul Jones. In my defence, I’m not American. ;-)
