Jim Morin’s drawings won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning in 1996. He shared the Pulitzer in 1983 with other members of the Miami Herald editorial board, and was a Pulitzer finalist in 1977 and 1990. His work is syndicated internationally by the New York Times/CWS Syndicate.

Churchill, I believe you’re referring to an April 2nd Fox News report that claimed that only 17% of the guns apprehended in Mexico were traced back to the US. That report was ridiculous, and has been exposed as such by the non-partisan (and Pulitzer-prize winning) Politifact.com. Check out the interview on NPR: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=103224899. It says that the actual percentage of guns recovered at Mexican crime scenes is much closer to Obama’s 90% than Fox’s 17%.
The 17% number fantastically assumes that none of the guns not checked were from the US even though 90% of the ones checked (33% of the total) were.
