Jim Morin’s drawings won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning in 1996. He shared the Pulitzer in 1983 with other members of the Miami Herald editorial board, and was a Pulitzer finalist in 1977 and 1990. His work is syndicated internationally by the New York Times/CWS Syndicate.

Jim, I think sadly not many will remember Abbott and Costello’s monologue these days, as it was originally aired on the radio (30’s and 40’s) and old B&W clips (recorded later)of video are long gone with the late night movie shows and Sunday’s matinees reruns..
Can you believe I have Cassette right herewith this clip?? LOL…

There are several versions on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sShMA85pv8M is one. They did it in at least 1 movie and I guess they did it several time for early television.

Abbot and Costello were great, and come Halloween I can’t wait to see their movies on television, but when it comes to old comedies/comedians, there’s nothing like Jack Benny’s blank stare.
