Jim Morin’s drawings won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning in 1996. He shared the Pulitzer in 1983 with other members of the Miami Herald editorial board, and was a Pulitzer finalist in 1977 and 1990. His work is syndicated internationally by the New York Times/CWS Syndicate.

Oh, it is. You see your no longer allowed to speak with humans.. So the line is actually a computer Que, were you get to sit and wait to talk to a computer that decides your fate. Don’t worry though the entire process is very systematic and in no time the great machine known as society shall have you back on your feet at your new job working labor day for half your old pay just as I shall tomorrow and the day after that with my 6 day work week.

And #70 is good? Even if I agreed with your second point (a classic conservative belief that most unemployed people don’t want to work, which is not borne out by data), that would presumably cancel out across countries anyway. Also, when you aggregate the world, you are including a few outliers…

Where are you getting that 5.7 and 6.1% from Stew? Is it those currently on the dole, or does it include those who have maxed out their benefits and off the unemployment dole?
