Well, some people do, but not the ones who are too gullible and/or stupid to stop listening to the rightwing minions of the fatcat insurance industry and do a little looking around on their own.

The plutocrats are against the ACA because it will hurt the insurance companies. The ACA means insurance companies must now return 80% of premiums. (Of course, that’s using insurance company accounting, which says they’re currently returning about 88%. And health insurance stocks are sky-rocketing. Which every Obamabot says is irrefutable proof that the ACA will provide affordable care to all Americans by limiting insurance company profits.)

Since the purpose of insurance is to spread the cost of risk over as large a base as possible, it absolutely baffles me as to why so many companies and unions (et al?) are exempted from enrollment under the PPACA. This reduces the size of the base and increases the cost, if not now then at a later date, of those people left in the base.

US Healthcare was so-o-o-o much better when it was dispensed out of your local hospital’s emergency room. Can’t wait to get back to the good old days of RepubliCon dum.

If Congress would have had to live with the insurance policies us little people had to choose from, there would have been reform way before Mr. Obama became a senator. They have no frame of reference, because they have the Rolls-Royce plan, paid for by taxpayers. That truly is “the best healthcare system in the world”. Too bad only 535 people out of our entire population have access to it.

Our best hope is to require that members of Congress have to live by the exact same rules, regulations, and laws that we have to. Boy, would most of them be very surprised….and quite disappointed….
