Can Jerry pen a Toon any more WITHOUT using a movie for a metaphor?

Here’s some actual news: Rupert Murdoch, employer of Mr. Misdirection Holbert, just received an $882 million tax rebate from Australia. Something to do with currency speculation. How’s chances his little financial hiccup will be reported on Fox Noise or one of the other Murdoch Noise Papers?

    That’s what I thought too.

First, explain why I should care about Murdoch getting a tax rebate.
Second, I don’t understand what your comment has to do with the cartoon.

How about murdoch being an Australian citizen, receiving a very large amount of money, owning a gigantic media system in the USA?
    .
Is anyone here actually believing his “news” organization is really fair and balanced? And, not a propaganda machine for the far right?

A President who listens to the people rather than the money?

I am genuinely puzzled why you are not more concerned about Murdoch. Maybe it’s from being a foreigner, but when I look at Fox, I see a foreign owned television station (mostly Australian, partially Saudi Arabian) whose ONLY news story is “Your democratically elected government is lying to you”.

I’m not sure if I’m supposed to be scared or impressed with how far you’re prepared to let freedom of speech stretch.

I’m puzzled as to how you can get from tax credit to freedom of speech as to what I’m concerned or not concerned about.
