    Wait ’till you find out the deductible is 6k plus… before the “Affordable” insurance covers/Pays for anything but a simple check-up…

    Not one single thing has changed with my healthcare plan. We added Dental, but we get to go to the doctor’s of our choice, and continue to see the doctor to whom we’ve gone for over 20 years. My catastrophic went up two years ago, but did not go up this year.
    No one I KNOW has had any problems and several have told me their insurance is now better and offering more at the same price.
    Guess we’ll have to wait for next year for the doomsayers to be right.
    What would be really nice is if Dems and Reps would get together with some people who know what’s going on and make the ACA the long term healthcare solution it could be. I suppose that kind of reasonable cooperation wouldn’t be as fun as insulting people who are in need or as ‘practical’ for purposed of making this President look like the colossal failure conservatives want him to be.
    He’s not a great President, he’s not the worst. It’s not the best healthcare plan, it’s not the worst.
    But when we work against our neighbors who are in need in order to create the dialogue we want, instead of addressing those needs, we are at our worst.

    It’s not hard, people. Every other developed country has been able to figure out how to insure their citizens.

    In my state HHS says just over 24,300 people signed up for an insurance plan under Obamacare. Of those, 17% are the “critical” 18 – 34 year old category about a third of what is needed to make the system work.
    Worse, 30,344 people were put into Medicade getting completely government subsidized medical coverage. Since Obamacare relied heavily on this group shrinking substancially (the ACA pulled nearly a billion in funding out of Medicade and pushed down the costs onto states in order to make the accounting shell game used to get the CBO to give it a “revenue neutral” pass… Not that Obamacare really is, it is a huge new entitlement to be subsidized with taxes). With increasing Medicade numbers nationwide, and insufficent young healthy people signing up watch for the administration’s approach change from carrot to stick.
    I think they will start running ads saying essentially sign up or we’re going to bankrupt you and then toss you in prison if you don’t!

    Stupid cartoon. I know plenty of people who have a lot more financial security and a lot more options now. And they are just a few of the 2.2 million who have acquired private insurance recently. And I know no one who is less secure. This cartoonist doesn’t understand the law, which is fine, but at least he could refrain from commenting on it if he’s not going to tell the truth.

    @Respectful Troll

    I found a great deal and now have health insurance inspite of my pre-existing condition that has kept me uninsured for over 3 years now. Thank you President Obama. Thanks.

    Congratulations, wrong again. If you paid attention, you would know what City and State I live in. But you don’t, it’s like you are the only one in your universe, so sad.
