I thank you for trying, but I’m coming to the conclusion that some conservatives simply are unable to accept empirical data as reality. They seem to have reading comprehension problems (even on these posts), and are quick to jump to simple conclusions to complex problems. Problems with….…Iran? nuke ’em…Unemployment? Cut the lazy bums off…Healthcare? If they can’t pay, let ’em die…Homosexuals? Do like Uganda and Russia: either kill ’em or jail ’em…Religion? Christianity is the official religion…Contraception? There shouldn’t be any…Democrats? Voter ID laws, gerrymandering, gutting registration laws, taxing parents of students, cutting down the number of machines in minority districts… problem solved…Immigration? More fences, prisons, and ship ’em out…Global Warming? What Global Warming? …Abortion? Kill abortion and anybody who has an abortion or provides it…Public Education? Throw it in the private sector, give parents vouchers for religious schools (Christian only, of course)…Taxes? Cut taxes for the “job creators”, gut revenue, it’ll sort itself out…Pollution? Let the private sector police themselves…Public Safety? Let the private sector police themselves…Energy? Drill, baby, drill…Crime? More prisons, expand and expedite capital laws, more Law and Order…Financial Market collapses? Too much gubmint regulation, let the banks police themselves…Unions? Kill the unions…Democratic President? Impeach the lying, Muslim, socialist, commie, foreign bastid…“Liberals”? Make sure they have no voice – drown ’em out.Point is, and all too often, many conservatives are unwilling to make the effort to try to solve problems, because they cannot handle data or multiple viewpoints, and are all too willing to accept propaganda as truth..I call it CCDD – Conservatives Comprehension Deficit Disorder – which will (of course) tick ’em off even more.
