I always understood the role of a drone was to be a mindless inseminator. A ditto head?

And here I always thought the drone was the short lived worker that kept the hive thriving.

Hmm… Sounds something like someone who complains about the taxes on his “investments” when the people actually doing the WORK pay double his tax rate.

In Holbert’s case, Drone means, “to talk in a persistently dull or monotonous tone”.

I like your definition, Nebulous. When I looked up drone, I saw, among other things, it was a male bee with no stinger. It apparently lives to pleasure itself and live off of the labors of others and die. The cartoon itself is aimed at an extreme base and meant to be another strike on the wedge dividing neighbors and keep us from thinking about the abuses our legislators are inflicting on Americans in the name of party loyalty. It certainly hasn’t raised the level of the debate.
    Respectfully,
    C.

dittoheads are the drones, not us workers.

That’s right, no democrats actually work for a living. Every gainfully employed person in the country is actually a Republican. That’s the truth. I saw it in Holbert.

Wrong again. Using the defination of ‘one who lives on the back of others’, that would define the so-called job creators who make their wealth from the labor of the hired hands.

so, let’s forget the name calling and accept that we are all in this together.

Except that meaning #3 is made up. That’s no what it means.
