Sigh! Everybody please take a look at the numbers. He actually DECREASED the deficit, and is continuing to do so. Wait till the sequester takes effect. I do not believe the numbers put out by the Military Industrial Complex about entering a second recession when the U.S. government stops buying that overpriced stuff from these merchants of death. Did you know that there are about 3000 Abrams A1 tanks sitting around in some desert, uselessly, waiting to be refurbished/repaired? What an investment in the future of a nation…

    Good luck Mr. President.
@ Mortyfortyrant – I think you would make a bad tyrant. You’re not evil or even mean enough.

Hey Morty, the “deficit” is the difference between the money the government collects and the amount set in the budget. Since Obama is the ONLY President to fail to have a budget (for his entire first term) than there isn’t a “deficit”. He has however sunk us lower into debt than ALL the previous Presidents combined. Now, how’s that for a legacy?

He also but the Iraq and Afghan wars on the books, which Bush didn’t. There’s a few trillion right there.

I always translate the translation to see if it comes out right. I got one back once (Japanese) about a frog having sex with a tomato. I now translate things on Google and check the translation on Bing or vice versa.

At least O can now blame the guy that overspent the past 4 years. The problem is he can’t take that blame.

No he did not and yes I have looked at the numbers please stop looking at the numbers Obama people have given the public and press. Second why would you listen to the Military Industrial Complex gives when they have nothing to do with the economy except being a part of it not a re-source of the whole economy. Third as Commander and Chief Obama is a part of the Military Industrial Complex a lynch pin even.

    Now address Obama’s incompetence.

Huh? “Obama’s people” are also known as “The Federal Government”. They can go to PRISON if they lie to the public. Let my guess, your “numbers” came from the guy with the fancy had, one Matt Drudge, or one of his associates, right?

Indeed; in his speech he promised to strengthen the middle class. This has GOT TO STOP. It’s OUR money; it belongs to the movers and shakers. The middle class has no right to it.

Morty your post would be thought provoking except economically your omitting a very important point that even Obama has addressed. Of course we are sidetracked by his glowing speech (he’s so good at that), but the issue of jobs and unemployment has been conveniently omitted in his recent comments. Cutting military spending means people lose jobs, and unless the economy is viable enough, which it isn’t, that just increases the unemployment situation and continues the sideways trend of our economy. Even your fearless leader Angela has realized that austerity has to be carefully implemented or it can cause more problems than it addresses. It hasn’t been talked about lately, but our fearless leader’s “job council” that he formed well over a year ago hasn’t met in a year and never has made any useful recommendations for dealing with unemployment. Obama has never submitted a functional plan for dealing with economic growth (in recent history). . It’s kind of O’s approach to the deficit. He convened the Simpson – Bowles commission (a bi-partisan group) and then totally ignored all their recommendations. Both parties decided they were too politically difficult to implement.

Coronations/inaugurations are great feel good moments, but just like when Obama addressed the Germans at the (Brandenberg?) “rally” in 2008 it’s high emotion and little reality. All his inauguration speech (devoid of detail) did was lay out his legacy plan for his second term. I wish I could be “hopeful” about economic growth and improvement coming from his administration but I’m a realist…

Ok harlytoons your point is what?
This graph proves that ever repubby administrations policy’s have multiplied the debt, the only administration that has reduced the debt was Clinton and it took 7yrs of policy corrections to do it.
By this graph GW doubled the debt 5.7 trillion to 12.3 trillion remember his snowballing policies created the 2009 debt. Since then Obama has slowed the increasing debt rate considering the fact that he inherited the economy in the brink of the 2nd greatest depression we have ever seen proves he is slowing the debt not increasing it.
But then you and howzit and the rest of the uranis bus bunny’s cant accept anything that conflicts with the faux noise black hole of misconceptions!
Just for grins I’ll repost this everywhere you posted your obviously clueless post.
