The solution is to send Hillary with a big check to give to Gaza to allow the Palestinians to buy some more rockets so they can kill innocent citizens.

That would even things up a bit seeing as how the US already gives money and weapons to Israel which ends up being used against innocent civilians.

Side of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict has committed crimes against innocent civilians and both sides justify it as necessary. The US needs to withhold all forms of aid to both sides until they sit down and actually negotiate a lasting peace.

Israel appears to be trying to start a new war. They are complaining about being attacked and all they did was blow someone up in a car on a public street in a foreign country.

So, I guess this has nothing to do with Hamas shooting rockets into Israel for the last 2 weeks, killing several people, then the Israelis retaliated by taking out the Hamas leader in a car? Now of course Hamas is trying to shoot rockets into Jerusalem and Tel Aviv to up the body count. I think it’s pretty definite that Hamas got this one started, even Obama is behind the Jews and their retaliation…

But still the movie clip of the car being blown up on the public street was the catalyst for this now escalating situation.

I am not a fan of Hamas, Gaza or Egypt but the overreactions of Israel will be the death of all of us.

Yes Israel’s reaction is excessive and likely will escalate, but Hamas really got this one going. I have a lot of sympathy for the Palestinian people, but no sympathy at all for Hamas. Unfortunately, the actions of Hamas and the reactions of Israel will cause a lot of pain.

This has been going on for thousands of years. His grandfather killed my grandfather, and on and on. All are to blame, since no one is willing to stop the cycle.

Gaza erupting is more like a prison riot, and Israel has all the razor wire, mines, and guard towers, as well as all the real ammunition.

Unfortunately, Hamas will still claim “victory” if they just survive a 2nd total Israeli onslaught and maintain the ability to fire off rockets into Israel, like they did 4 years ago. Perspectives of a besieged mentality. The Palestinians are badly served by Hamas.

I served at the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv for more than four years. If I learned anything there, it is that there are two sides to every story. My take is that Israel will become more and more isolated in the middle of the Islamic world, both politically and militarily, and this will present a problem that all the U.S. aid in the world can’t fix. I fear that by the time Israel realizes that it must reach a just peace accord with the Palestinians there will be no moderate Palestinians left who are seeking justice. The only peace that Israel has sought so far has been the peace of the conquerer. Defeat plus humiliation and subjugation are not a good foundation for peace. Israel’s enemies have all the time in the world; Israel does not. The bright side of the current war which is black streaked with dark gray, is that this war will likely deter Israel from attacking Iran if common sense does not. The IDF almost certainly does not have the capability to deliver a crippling blow to the Iranian nuclear program.
