Very funny, as usual, Jen. Iowa supreme court, you’re a joke, but not so funny. How can it be legal to fire someone simply because you think you cannot control your immoral urges? Welcome to big-government conservatism.

Actually ARod, the court decided that he can fire her for ANY reason as long it does not amount to unlawful discrimination. Being “hot” does not put you in a protected class. It’s called at-will employment. If she didn’t like the way he looked, she could quit.
This toon just shows you who the big-government liberals are: You and Jen.

Sounds like a form of sexual harassment. Could you imagine what people would be saying if it was a gay boss firing a male employee for being too attractive?

Reminds me of the lawsuit brought by the lawyer in Tennessee trying to force Apple to implement porn filters on its Safari browser- because he can’t keep himself from watching porn otherwise. “Well, I can’t be expected to control myself, so the onus is on someone else!”
Funny how you never hear the “personal responsibility” crowd speak out about that….

It was for her own protection. Imagine what he might have done to her if he hadn’t fired her first.

What it is is “fire at will” with little recourse for the fired.

In other words, it supports any kind of discrimination the boss, male or female, can think up.

    Discriminatory.

No, because to get fired, first you have to be hired.

..I think this is ironic..the party for less gov’t is always pushing for more intrusive gov’t…doublespeak..they always do the opposite of what they say..

No, they want more govt in women’s vaginas and bodies, less govt overseeing their business practices.

And yet this is the same reasoning applied by conservative Islam: women must cover up because MEN might be distracted.
