Well, if we got rid of those job-killing child labor laws that are keeping these layabouts from getting honest jobs….

Obama’s true jobs programs. That and Disability.
But hey what else can one expect from a community organizer and chief. He sure knows how to run a Chicago campaign. but to lead? When is the last time you have seen Obama lead?

I see people all the time driving to the local grocery store in their 2012 and 2013 shiny new SUV’s and pulling out their EBT card(food stamps) to fill up on Coco Puffs, Doritos and whatever else they feel like, all on our dime.

I have no problem helping children and the truly disabled, but these people are far from “going hungry”. Maybe they should be driving a 10 year old economy car or taking the bus so they can at least have the self-respect to feed their own children.

Hmm… While I don’t disagree that many people on food stamps use them to buy junk food, the people I see walk to the store. I’m gonna call bullshit on the “2012 and 2013 shiny new SUV’s”. You have NEVER seen that. That is the lie propagated since Reagan made up the story of the Cadillac Welfare Queen. In order to get food stamps, you need to go through so many hoops to prove that you do not have enough income to live on without them, you would never pass a credit check for a car more than $5000. Perhaps you could take pictures or film some of these people. You could publish your expose. As they are clearly breaking the law, you would be a hero.

Its been the right wing plan to reduce taxes so that any entitlements will go unfunded.

Here is a great idea. I looked at a picture of detroit and the streets were full of trash how about anyone collecting welfare go out and clean the streets that way the goverment can save money on street cleaning crews and would have money to help the people that need it . I am sorry I do not mind teaching a person to fish but tired of just giving fish out when I have to eat hamburger helper without the hamburger

How close do you get to see all that? I first started hearing early variations on that from other Cons concerning original food stamps.
    -
So you followed these people around from when they pulled in to going to the register?
    -
You know it is $31.50 per person per month. It goes really fast. So I doubt your story very much.

There was some guff made about the EPA and IRS or some government organization making farm chores a child could do for his family illegal. So when you are talking about child labor laws, I am not talking about a 19 century sweat shop being put up in the USA. I am talking about a 10 year old feeding the family pigs!

    @Fourcrows

Agreed. At least in Michigan you can’t own a car worth more than $15,000 and still qualify. And unless I’m mistaken the take the household income into account, not just the applicant. That way baby mama can’t apply with her wallyworld minimum rage job and qualify while baby daddy works his $15.00/hour job and driving his pimped out ghetto ride. Although I have seen gangsta boy in 7-11 with(with the droopy designer jeans, trendy shirt and bling to make Mr. T ashamed) the the Bridge Card buying energy drinks while a baby and baby mama are outside in the pimped out ride with the booming stereo pumping out ©rap at a volume that surely is causing permanent hearling loss in that poor defenseless little child. I have seem this firsthand. But NEVER have they been current or last year’s model. Usually it’s some ricer or most recently a rust/dent/scratch free Grand Prix. So I, like you have seen abuse but never the grotesque LIE of CG. I have also seen people with a cart full of house/generic brand foodstuffs who were wearing clean, respectable clean clothes that you could tell were not designer, just the best they could afford.
    .
Sadly the former stand out in our minds because of the abuse, but the latter is far more the case.

Given your posts here yoru credibility level is not high. Do you have pictures to prove that these food stamp/SNAP/EBT recipients drive ‘12 or ’13 MY vehicles? Didn’t think so, so I call LIE! For the very reasons Fourcrows stated. And if they did pull up in those vehicles, were they their own or maybe their parents who were visiting?

As for multiple cards, how do you know they were all food stamp cards? Didn’t think so either.

“I am talking about a 10 year old feeding the family pigs!”
I remember an NPR show regarding that. Sure some of the chores that were prohibited seemed too strict but remember this, they did not proactively pass any regulations. All of this regulation was in response to accidents. That means things that DID happen. Children that did get hurt, not stuff that _might happen, stuff that did happen.
    .
But the first step for you to get your child labor factories back is to reduce funding to the organizations that enforce regulations, then start chipping away at those regulations “Because they aren’t enforced anyway.”
    .
Like I wrote above, given the caliber of your posts here, you have no credibility, at least with educated, intelligent thinking members of the human race.
