“And a Happy New Year to you. IN JAIL!”

Best Christmas movie ever, even if the Job Creator gets his at the end.

Our fish wrapper this morning noted that Jindal, Rubio, and Ryan are now all about the lifting up of America’s middle class now…

The consensus sentiment among them being, “The Democrats taught us what really matters this last election…”

Talk is cheap, fellas—-how about you put your vote where your mouth is!

If those working class people would just be thrifty and responsible, they wouldn’t need higher wages.
    -
That would save money for the things we really need, like another group of F-35s, and another after that.

It’s not enough for me to succeed, others must fail.

Well why don’t we just earn our money the old fashioned way, by inheriting it! What’s wrong with us.

and if we just put air in our tires we would not have to worry about the high cost of gas? Or if we just raise the tax rate on the over achiever who did not build it and does not need it we could balance the budget right?

yeh a whole 7% of the millionaire billionaire Obama is obsessed with inherited and managed to keep the money. How dare they. must tax them and pass that on to be fair.

It’s A Wonderful Life and Mr. Smith Goes to Washington were movies that I thought reflected the “REAL” America and what “REAL” Americans wanted. The bad guys were always the “EVIL” few who were rich and willing to let the ends justify the means. Most of the movies I’ve loved were honor stories. Stories where good people, sometimes even rich good people, stood against power in order to protect people who couldn’t protect themselves. Whether it was the rich rancher damming up the water supply, the mining company poisoning the river or getting workers killed, or a few good men facing an overwhelming enemy in the face of certain death- such as the stories of the Alamo and Wake Island, the movies I like best are where good people overcome the odds- not for themselves, but for others.
Such movies made me an idealist. A life of reality made me a cynic. However, that core belief in honor, respect, and even love, has remained.
    Mr. Potter sucked.

Television. The constant barrage of advertising that tells everyone they are to be self-entitled, treat themselves and that they must have every new gadget, product and what-not is very likely involved also.
