I think Wreck-it Ralph would probably be easier for you to follow.

Lincoln is 1 of the few Republicans I could vote for. Unfortunately in today’s climate he’d never get the nomination. I mean free the slaves ? What’s next, giving women the right to vote ?

Unfortunately, is seems to be a quality that all extremists on either far side of the political middle revere!!

    Sad, truly, truly , sad!!!!

I haven’t seen “Lincoln” yet, but I plan to. I HAVE seen “Wreck-It Ralph,” though.

    ! ! SPOILER ALERT ! !

The Good Guy and the Bad Guy (Fix-It Felix Jr. and Ralph) “reach across the aisle” to solve a crisis that affects not only them but their entire community. The Misfit “glitch” (Vanellope Van Schweet) overcomes oppression to gain not only acceptance but appreciation. A secure place is found for those whom advancing technology has left behind (Qbert and friends).

    No, nothing of substance there.
    Nothing that would interest you.
Just a fairy tale, move along…

You do know that base reason Lincoln was opposed to slavery was because it gave the southern plantation owners an advantage in the marketplace. The southerners did not have to pay the help, the did in the north. Lincoln was all about leveling the playing field. For some of the rest of us, it was a happy coincidence that the slaves were freed. Too bad it took so long to start actually realizing civil rights, something we are still working on today.
