Yours are bendable, too. It’s just that no fool has tried to do it yet — or admit it.

I dropped my desktop computer from the first floor and now it’s BENT too. What is Apple thinking?

No problem. I understand if your iPhone gets bent in your pocket, just pop it into the microwave on HIGH for a few minutes and it’ll be perfect (and you’ll never have to worry about charging it again).

Apple bends, LG Flexes, and Samsung does Galaxys while Motorola changes…owners and often.

I don’t get it. The “bending” iPhone 6 is a copy of the Samsung phone that came out a couple of years ago (and critics made fun of at the time). Now Apple is copying Samsung, not the other way around.

Would be if they made phones that were of any use to people who aren’t willing to surrender their legal rights as citizens and subordinate their entire lives to a gadget.

My understanding is that the iPhone 6 Plus has gotten bent from just being in someone’s back pocket. While my Samsung Galaxy has a bit of flex as most phones do, it hasn’t gotten physically bent in all the times I’ve had it in my back pocket.

Interesting that the cartoon calls out Samsung for copying some elements of the iPhone when most of the iPhone’s 6 new features have been part of Samsung phones for several years. Same goes for the Apple Watch.

The reality is that companies take ideas from other company’s products in addition to coming up with their own innovations.

That would be the ‘I can do that better than you.’ syndrome.

The report of the bent iPhone 6 Plus was of a guy who had it in his jeans front pocked (no-doubt a tight fit), unprotected by a case, and crushed on it for over eight hours while he drove to a wedding and back. I doubt any large format smart phone would fare well under those circumstances. Anyone who treats touch-sensitive electronics so blithely, is asking for trouble.

Would you go so far to guarantee replacement of a Samsung device treated the same or kept in a back pocket? Just because Apple gets the most press coverage, doesn’t mean (Video:) Samsung (Galaxy S4 bends and cracks in the ‘bend’ test) and others are not subject to the same, or worse result.

You have been very fortunate with your phone kept in your back pocket. Considering the many styles and sizes of pants, users’ relative weight and body shape, and types of seats used, back pocket vulnerability will vary from instance to instance. Therefore, no manufacturer will recommend keeping these touch-screen phones in back pockets.

    The courts agree:

As far as the watch,… Yes it is the same scenario. How come the Samsung watch looks and behaves like a TRS-80 in comparison to the Apple Watch. You can’t claim that Samsung invented the watch first.

This is what Apple does. Redesigns things in a revolutionary way that others didn’t have the vision to do. That’s what has endeared the company to millions and caused acrimony and resentment among their competition and competitors’ followers.
