    You’re right. Let’s put Bill back in office for another 8 years.

    It would be really nice to find a candidate who’s main concern is helping to fix the many problems this country faces. We are falling behind in many areas. It won’t be long before all we will have is our arrogance.

    @Ted Lind

    Trouble with today’s candidates in both parties is they are all too interested in keeping the wealthy happy and the Reagan policies going strong.
    What ‘trickles down’ isn’t something to build a life on.
    Shall we examine the ‘success’ of ‘trickle down’? The higher the GINI number, the more money in the pockets of the wealthy and less in the pockets of a GROWING middle class and nothing for the poor.
    It MIGHT help the GOPPERS here to keep in mind that for the bulk of that time the GOP controlled either the House, the Senate, the Presidency or two or all three, since 85 or thereabouts. Thus ending 45 years of Democrat rule of the USA, and rather proving what GOP policies are really about.

    Having a good number of candidates for the job is democracy at work. Having only one candidate is a coronation, not democracy at work. Democrats are doing them selves and the country a disservice. Democrats shame on you, demand more and better.

    The Dems are betting on a “strong horse,” even though that horse has left horse apples all over the place. I’d go with Pataki over Hillary and the rest of the crowd. In fact, I’d take the nuttiest Republican over a candidate who literally marinades herself in scandal!

    That does it. I’m declaring my candidacy today! If elected, I will lower taxes on the rich. vote for the interests and policies of those who financially supported me the most and dismantle the military to rake in a peace dividend for my pork barrel projects.

    At least I’m an honest candidate.

    ChevJames007: just a simple question as you persist in your line: have you ever heard of “Iran/Contra” or “Watergate”?? Any of the current Republican “candidates” will just mean 99% of Americans will again be taking a bath, to fund the perfume for the 1%.

    “…and dismantle the military….”

    Aww, you had a real chance right up until there, too.
