    There are consequences in elections. Bush-appointed judges are doing their work, and we have to deal with it.

    Close call here… plutocracy or kleptocracy? I’d say it is a combination of both. Goodbye USA, you had a good run.

    No single item is destroying America.

    Us older guys remember how it used to be, and regardless of the blame it certainly is not like it was.

    America did have a good run, one of the greatest, but now things are no longer like they were.

    I still say : just send them a speaker every two weeks insted of a check and it won`t take long to change the way they vote.

    The Supreme Court believes the Koch Brothers and Sheldon Adelson do not have enough influence on legislators and presidential candidates?

    Boy, any day now, Fox “news” is going to devote a whole day decrying them Supreme Court activist judges, legislating from the bench.

    First, “money is speech”. And now “freedom of speech” means that there should be no limits on how “loud” one speaks? Doesn’t that suddenly make all those laws against “disturbing the peace” unConstitutional?

    @Stipple

    Last summer, I attended an outdoor military vehicle meet. There were many veterans of WWII, Korea and Viet Nam there. As I walked through the parking lot, I noticed MANY of the same bumper sticker: THIS IS NOT THE COUNTRY I FOUGHT FOR.

    We all need to know who is supporting the candidates. That is who they will be working for. They have no choice if they want to stay in office, you have to do the bidding of the person who is paying your way. Just the same as we all do in our jobs. So, before going to vote, look it up on the internet. Open Secrets is a good site, but there are plenty. If the candidate is getting his money from small donors, he is going to be working for the middle class. If his donations are from corporations or 1%er, don’t figure he is going to go against them and do anything for the middle class. It would be political suicide.
