    So we should feel guilty for being born where we were or appreciate it? I am not sure what Danziger is trying to point out.

    One of the best political toons I’ve seen in a long while. My hat’s off to you Mr. Danziger.

    Just curious, are you Canadians excited about the birth a the future king who’s face will one day adorn your currency?

    The streets of Syria and Egypt are in chaos and their kids go hungry because of their people and their religion, not because of anything I have done.

    Way to go, Danziger. You feel all big and mighty now that you’ve picked on a child not yet ever 24 hours old?
    Is it the child’s fault for being born where it’s born? A country is how it is because of how it’s RUN! North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Egypt, Etc. All of those countries are like they are because of it’s gov’t. How ’bout this…
    If you can… if you have the talent to draw and the fortunate ability to be published in a paper or website….use it to build up others and see how you can help people instead of being spiteful of others….much less to a baby….

    Danziger is ridiculing the obsessive media coverage of the Royal Infant, while people with real problems are ignored.

    It’s easy to blame the governments of nations that were exploited & corrupted by the West. The U.S. has a long track record of stamping out the very leaders who could have helped guide those countries to legitimate, elected governments.

    Wikipedia…seriously?
    BTW, for someone bashing the West, you sure seem to be enjoying the luxuries of the West. You like your computer? How about your job or the food on your table? Bet you have a cell phone. How do you get to work? Drive or bus? Betcha you sure like the ease of those comforts!!! You sure like to criticize those very same things that you partake of. But since you feel SO corrupted, I would challenge you to be the first to leave it ALL behind and move to those exploited nations and set them all straight!!!

    How about if I, “use it to build up others and see how you can help people instead of being spiteful of others…”?

    Seems like you’re the one doing the bashing, while ignoring what goes on around you. As long as you’ve got yours, all is well. Right?

    Radish: Potentially, but his current duty is air-sea rescue, and his choppper is unarmed. It was his brother who just came off a combat assignment.

    replied, “No. Just be aware of others’ situations and stop contributing to it.”
    Well said, especially the “stop contributing to it”.

    Danziger may be basing this ‘toon on Rudyard Kipling’s poem “If…”

    “If you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
    If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too;
    If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
    Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
    Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
    And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

    If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
    If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
    If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
    And treat those two impostors just the same;
    If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
    Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
    Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
    And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:

    If you can make one heap of all your winnings
    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
    And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breathe a word about your loss;
    If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
    To serve your turn long after they are gone,
    And so hold on when there is nothing in you
    Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”

    If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
    If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
    If all men count with you, but none too much;
    If you can fill the unforgiving minute
    With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
    Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
    And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!"

    So, Syrians: Man up, arm yourselves, and kill the bastard!(Assad)

    I know some Canadians who just love the royal family, and when they come to visit they draw big crowds, but they really don’t make much difference. I also know some anti-royalists. Personally, I think there are more important things to get upset about.
