    If this were true, there would be a run on Plan B Pill as women would make all men vanish.

    @Gore Bane

    Do they have one for men, too?

    It’s called a condom. If a man doesn’t want to be saddled with children, he should make damn well sure he uses them.

    Great ’toon! BTW, ondoms fail, Plan “B” seems to be more effective in “catching” an error, when the boy only wants to hit a home run, and rarely gives a thought, or a care, to all the kids in the bleachers.

    It’s also interesting that those opposed to plan B, or any form of contraception are the “pro-life” anti-abortion folks (mostly men) who can’t get pregnant, and don’t seem to understand the biology of the process anyway. Oh, right, the stork comes along and puts a fully developed baby in the woman’s tummy, it has all its organs and functions at conception, and only needs to grow in size.

    Anti-abortion people are often strenuously opposed to any form of birth control. They believe that women should not be educated about birth control methods by Planned Parenthood or anyone else.

    A baby is punishment for having sex. Only abstinence is acceptable.

    No, see that is where the lefties and those who believe in abortion get it wrong. We are not saying it is punishment, we are saying it is a blessing, that is why it was intended for procreation in a marriage. In the old days you were forced to get married and take responsibility for your actions instead of taking care of your actions through the destruction of a fetus. There is still concern for those who are raped, as that was not the woman’s intention. I believe God would not hold the woman responsible for her final decision, but would help her if she did go through with the pregnancy. Birth control was conceived for those who wanted to play the field instead of finding a soul mate. We have changed what God intended for us as people according to his word, if you believe in God.

    What about saying no to sex?

    So, you’re okay with your 12 year-old daughter having sex, getting pregnant and taking the Morning After Pill without your knowledge?

    @Tigger

    “Saying No is the best way to avoid pregnancy”
    .
    That’s what they (both sexes) do!
    .
    “It won’t happen to me! It won’t happen to me!”
    .
    Christian boys and girls pray to God that “God, don’t let me get pregnant!”
    .
    Saying “No!” in that way is a pretty sure way to get pregnant.
    .
    Hundreds of millions of years of evolution, and you want a 16 year old girl (and boy) to be stronger than that?
    .
    Doesn’t happen, hasn’t happened, isn’t going to happen. There will always be the DRIVING urge to procreate. Pretending that a prayer or an aspirin between the knees will be stronger than that urge is juvenile.
    .
    If you managed to do it, then that was because you didn’t get a clear shot of the URGE. (and/or you found other sinful ways to stem the URGE’S tide)
    .
    As to your misguided rhetorical question to braindead08. As the father of two daughters, I’ll answer (not for him, but as a father)
    .
    No one “wants” or is “OK” with their 12 year old daughter having sex. No one wants their 12 year old to be that “grown up” that sex is even on their mind.
    .
    But facts are facts: There are 12 year olds that are mature beyond their age. There are 12yos that feel abandoned at their house, and seek comfort elsewhere. There are 12 yos that hang with 16 yos that hang with 18 yos and the 12 yos will do ANYTHING to be alpha in the group.
    .
    All of those behaviors are animal behaviors (we are animals) Whether we approve or not, the fact is that these things happen. That there is a choice besides Abortion, Adoption, and a scarred youth (assuming both she and the baby survive!).
    .
    IF one of my daughters had had unprotected sex when they were 12. I would want her to be able to make sure she didn’t get pregnant right away. Not when she finally had the courage to tell her mother or me. Yes.

    Yep, every rapist, or guy who gave a girl rohypnol or other drugs (date rape includes several) is going to listen when she says "no’. Maybe if she said “no” while holding a .45 APC against his scrotum???

    OH really? So the young lady in question then has no responsibility? shouldn’t she also have the task to make damn sure no conception takes place?

    If you’re opposed to any form of gun control, does that mean it’s okay if your son shoots and kills 23 children?
