You’re like the thieves who broke into a house using the fact they only found the content of the loose change tray to steal as a proof they aren’t guilty of breaking and entering.

It’s not the Ds that clamored that the Iraq invasion would pay for itself and that we would ‘release’ their oil reserves as our own. But, what can you say… when it comes even to their own unethical behaviors, Conservatives can’t claim competency as a redeeming value.

I’m always curious as to something having happened in the world of such major proportions as “George Bush is a war criminal”. Could you direct me to the article detailing this, please.

Not that difficult to understand. If someone invades a country without direct cause, generally that is considered someone waging war criminally. Iraq was exactly that.

What about starting a war that killed hundreds of thousands of people for no clear purpose, based on blatant lies (you remember the famous “Weapons of Mass Delusion”, uh, “Mass Distraction”, hem whatever) ?

And it would still be true. The means did not justify either end. Saddam’s power was null at that point, Iran had a progressive government, the Taliban had been removed. All we needed to do was capture or kill Osama Bin Laden, and leave it at that. Invading Iraq was the absolute worst decision W could have made at that point, and “the Decider” made it.

True and Canada is left with an environmental wasteland, and the U.S. with a dirty pipeline.

Strange, I read that it was given to Royal Dutch Shell. Maybe they have a sweetheart deal with China.

“If we profited in oil from the war(s), the liberals would be screaming that the war(s) were all about oil, you know, kind of like how they do anyway.”

John McCain, while campaigning for president, made the mistake of giving the endgame away. When he was talking about finding alternative energy sources, which he was for at the time, he noted that one of the values was that we wouldn’t have to send our young men and women to fight in the middle east. This was an inadvertant admission of the true role of both Gulf War I and Shock and Awe.

And, evidently in your mind, proof that John McCain is a liberal. Or, that your statement is not fully correct.

Yes, I know that all the soldiers who died in Iraq were a useless sacrifice, and that there were NEVER any weapons of mass destruction, and Dubya lied to us repeatedly, but, gee, he sure must have had a big dick to do all that.

As a supposedly liberal on this site, (which I am not) I would be more than happy to see the US profit from the disaster that was Iraq in ANY way possible. But evidently that has not been the case, and probably never will be. Even Iran has obtained far more good will in Iraq by our actions than we did, how is that for irony!!!
