Tobacco regulations: no TV ads, package warnings, no selling to minors. Cigarette companies fought these tooth and nail for over 30 years. Now part of the landscape. Lives saved.

Auto safety regulations: seat belts, airbags. Automobile companies fought these tooth and nail for 30 years. Now part of the landscape. Lives Saved.

The NRA is responsible for tens of thousands of deaths. If you ever want a reality check, look at Joe Nocera’s gun report, where he summarizes every gun death reported in a U.S. newspaper. For every criminal stopped with a gun, there are about forty innocent people (many children) who are killed by criminals or through stupid, stupid accidents.

Quit your obsession for a second and read the damn cartoon. Danziger goes after any president, regardless of political stance.

That burglar breaking into your home is there for one reason, to get your guns which he can readily sell along with your electronics. Easy money to buy his drugs.

Anyone see that video of the guy shooting the cop in Texas?

30+ deaths to guns EVERY DAY in the U.S., yes we’re the world leader on something!

As a gun owner, hate the NRA’s unreasonable stance on many related “issues”. Notably in the argument about “crazies”, 99.9% of “shooters” killing others aren’t mentally unstable, clinically, they just have no sense of morals or ethics and are “takers”, just like Wayne La Pierre and his backers. They choose to use guns to take what they want, because they’re easy to get.

Noah Pozner was the youngest child killed at Sandy Hook. His mother,Veronique Pozner described the indignities to his small body. He was shot multiple times; she stated that his jaw and his left hand were mostly shot away. She had the Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy come to see Noah’s body at the open casket. " His jaw was blow away. I just want people to know the ugliness of it so we don’t talk about it abstractly, like these little angels just went to heaven. No. They were butchered. They were brutalized. And that is what haunts me at night." Source; Naomi Zeveloff,Reporter of the Jewish Daily Forward April 2013 Colorado College Bulletin pg 15

Good thing well-armed citizens would never make such a mistake.

As a rule, you & I agree on most issues. In this case I have to call into question your assessment of the situation. Mr. Waller was shot and killed by police officers authorized to carry arms. It wasn’t his fault that they over-reacted. I wasn’t there and cannot say what transpired, but obviously Mr. Waller was doing the right thing by checking on his neighbor’s house. To use this example as a front to take away citizens’ gun rights is misguided. You might as well advocate a stance that one doesn’t have any business checking on one’s neighbors. Had Mr. Waller not done that, he would still be alive. If you want citizens disarmed, you should also be insisting upon taking away weapons from the police.

Price of doing business and business is their business. Life is dangerous so they believe as Rousseau did that it is better to live dangerously than overly protected.

Listen your type are the only ones who champion Kermit Gosnell. No one else does. But then it was your beloved violent “right to life” people that drove women to him. Blame them and yourself. You are guilty of so much.

And autos aren’t designed to kill. That is all guns do. It is how they are used in both cases that counts. Guns should be more tightly regulated. But the govt and corporations will always have better arms than we will. Always.
