   This is at least the 2nd cartoonist who has Berlusconi aspiring to be pope (after Oliphant). As I understood it, Berlusconi’s re-election plans have been hampered, if not thwarted, by the pope’s resignation announcement.

   His previous terms in office didn’t help Italy economically. Yet Berlesque-oni still has a chance. I know about 49% of Americans would vote for the Shrubster if given the chance….scary!

   I once went to a “Treck Fest” with a buddy of mine and he said “There are way too many Captains and Admirals around here!”. He was dressed as the rank he had earned in his club, Lt. Cmdr. i believe, so I can understand why he was upset. Me? I was pretending to be a civilian from the 20th century…

    I am awfully, awfully sorry to have to criticize Mr. Danziger, but this is no likeness of Berlusconi at all! You have to see the weaselly, shifting eyes, the lusting drool, the craggy skin, the brilliantine hair to really, really hate him. And I’m just European, not even Italian…
