   80% of beer sales come from the same two corporate daddies, due to Bush’s lax enforcement of anti-monopoly laws. Obama looks to be a good bit stronger in support of the free market with his recent opposition to yet another merger (the complete buyout of Corona). Not saying it’s great beer, but it’s to no one’s interest except the owners’ to permit monopolies.

   What always made me ROFL was back in the 90’s when the Big Brewers tried to spin the line that Microbrews are for wimps and mass produced beer is for REAL men only.

   Then, when that didn’t work. they started pushing faux-microbrews. And at least one of them still does ( How many people know that Blue Moon Brewing is a division of Coors? )

   Too much centralization in the brewing industry thanks to the republicans who don’t believe in regulating industry. I don’t drink that American swill from the big brewers.

   Want to solve the problem? Brew your own beer. Just like the Prez…..well…..I’m not convinced he does the work himself, but he may. Get a “kit” with pre mixed stuff and then after you learn how. experiment.
   
   You can make whiskey as well but it is illegal because of the hugh tax the gov doesn’t get when you do that.

    This brings the issue of monopolies front and center, look whats happened to the newsmedia, banking and their energy manipulation, farming, etc.
    Time to bring back the anti-trust regulations that have been usurped by special interests.
