If Ann Coulter were in combat I’d root for the Taliban.

Based on my knowledge from people I have known, she would never go. People as Bush, Cheney and now her talk, not fight.

LOL! This is what I love about Danziger’s work, the little details you don’t notice the first time around.

Check out the heels on Coulter’s combat boots. Priceless!

America would be a lot safer if she did. No more bowing to others and giving them presents like drones..

Ah, just showing your barely concealed hate, love it when your type displays their true colors. Also love when your type shows their rampant hypocrisy.

“DO consider the fact that a substantial number of these ultra-right conservative hawks worked hard to keep their butts out of combat”

Care to provide any substantiation for that “fact” or are you going to us Mr GoodWrench’s typical meme about “common knowledge?”

Compared to their Wahabi instructors, the Taliban are quite “Liberal” and more “Progressive”.

For instance, Wahabi would not want women to be seen in public at all, let alone concealed behind burqas complete with a veil thick enough around the eyes so that even those are not seen, either.

At least the Taliban do let their women outside, even though it may not be for anything other than household chores for the most part and concealed under heavy clothes, but still identifiable as a woman outside.

The Wahabi would also not want the people to be informed, let alone entertained by television or radio broadcasts or any other mass media, even if it is religious or informative in nature—takes too much time away from the individual’s personal study of the Qu’ran and for personal enlightenment, growth and spiritual fulfillment to its tenets and teachings.

The Taliban have embraced enough modern technology, even though it is “foreign” in nature to them and we have seen it time and again since the 1990s when they blew up those Budhist sculptures that were part of a World Heritage site recognized by the United Nations.

And they certainly have no problems adapting to western weapons and military tactics when they encounter them.

Fighting the Red Army and the KGB in the rear areas gave their fathers and now even grandfathers the training that they could pass down to those fighting us and our allies these days.

Wahabi-followed tenets would have required a more traditional and even “Muslim” approach to warfare, complete with close-quarters fighting just like their ancestors did when they came out of the deserts and conquered much of a dying and decaying world in the 6th, 7th and 8th centuries.

From the Wahabi standpoint, these worked before, they will eventually work again, even though the 21st Century world is quite different than what their 6th Century ancestors faced—men are still men and they have their weaknesses and vulnerabilities just like they always had.

So if you think the Taliban “Teachers” are bad for society, their Wahabi instructors would be worse on a society if their tenets were strictly adhered to.

“no lady SEALs though…they couldn’t hack it”

Which prompts the question “What about a woman who could hack it? Would she be barred from the SEALS on the basis of her gender?”

If the rule is simply “No individual who can’t hack the SEALs shall be a SEAL”, you’re covered.
