   You were being sarcastic, right? He was having an affair, which would leave him open to blackmail. And he would know enough that foreign interests unfriendly to the US would certainly try it if they knew about it at all.

   However, he did do the right thing under the circumstances in resigning!

   As a dedicated left-winger, I find it curious how we can preach so loudly about minding our own business with gays and spend so much time looking at Petraeus. And don’t give me the “secrets” speech. I have yet to talk politics in bed.

    Yes, he’s joking. The hint is the possible double meaning of “undercover”. Michael almost always plants a hint. And by now we should know to look for them.
