Jeff Danziger provides a scathing international take on politics, finance, and everything else you aren’t allowed to discuss at the dinner table. Combining spot-on caricatures with razor-sharp writing, this feature will make you listen a little more closely to what they tell you on the news.

The catholic church was extremely polite when they said biden wasn’t telling the truth.

Ask the nuns about Ryan’s budget… he’s no Catholic at heart.

Regardless of their religious beliefs, they have no right to impose Catholic church dogma on the rest of the country. At least Biden recognizes this.

I agree with apfelzra
Biden pounded Ryan on this issue. He stood up for his beliefs, but asserted the government has no business standing between a woman and her doctor. The Republicans have always underestimated women and Biden’s comment about potential Supreme Court appointees hit the nail on the head. Ryan had no response, except to ask if there would be a litmus test. Biden’s response was there wouldn’t. The question was not raised, but do you really think a Romney administration wouldn’t have a litmus test, particularly regarding abortion?

“The catholic church was extremely polite when they said biden wasn’t telling the truth.”
However polite the Catholic church may act, they’re still trying to force their beliefs on others. That is a violation of non-believers’ constitutional rights.
Oh, and how polite was the Catholic church when they pointed out Ryan’s lies? Oh yeah, they didn’t.

How honest has the Catholic Church been on their pedophilic members?

Joe and Paul both expressed their faith, while Biden demonstrated he’s actually read the Constitution.
As to the “choir”; Biden and Obama have both tried to orchestrate discussion, while Ryan and Romney both just produce “white noise”, with no recognizable points.

Religions need to stay out of politics. The zealots are very dangerous. See the Taliban and the Tea Party.

Well said. Those who wrote the Bill of Rights recognized the massive harm religious wars had done in Europe, Middle East, and Africa over the centuries and for them, some recent history. They desperately wanted our people to be united by common principles found in the holy books without the divisive dogma on which none could agree.
We’re not even 300 yet. We can do this if we work together. ;)
Respectfully,

Myth Robme seems to be saying, “Give me total support and I’ll attend to everything and you’ll be happy; trust me.” Blind faith is not the cornerstone of democracy, it is the foundation of fascism. Doesn’t he realize that?
