Jeff Danziger provides a scathing international take on politics, finance, and everything else you aren’t allowed to discuss at the dinner table. Combining spot-on caricatures with razor-sharp writing, this feature will make you listen a little more closely to what they tell you on the news.

Rebellions, civil wars, and intra-tribal warfare, are never pretty, but they ARE the history of the Middle East. Of course our own “unpleasantness” 1861-1865 stayed very gracious and “civil”.

Only wars America is involved with are ‘evil’ to libs. The rest of the world wars are justified by libs.

As a liberal, i am glad the USA helped to win & end WWII. We did not need to attack Iraq. It has not paid for itself. It has helped to drain America of its vitality. We need to leave Afghanistan. Entering Viet Nam was a coatly mistake a waste of so many American lives and resources.

@cjr53
So you approve of all other world conflicts as long as America isn’t involved.

Every time we see a young adult, it should remind us of how Bush lied us into that war.
-
It also should remind us that Romney’s foreign policy advisors are the same ones from the Bush administration.
-
Besides 4000+ soldiers killed, thousands of soldiers maimed, and mental assults on those who were not casualties, what did we gain from invading Iraq?

I see a young person in the military and thank them for serving to keep America safe. Their sacrifice can never be repaid. Anyone who insults them is a disgrace in my eyes.

cjr53 said nothing about other world conflicts. Why do you suggest such a thing?
Ms. Ima said, 10 months ago
@piobaire
By his talking only about American conflicts and omitting foreign wars he is approving of the foreign wars.

I agree.
I wonder who made us the world’s police force.
Police get paid. Police are hired and controlled by the community or nation they serve.
We aren’t getting paid, and we don’t have authorization from the world to be the police. Therefore, we shouldn’t be trying to stop every darn war around the world, even if we could. We’re bankrupting ourselves by trying to do so, and we’ll wind up not helping anyone, or even being able to defend ourselves. Beyond that, we wind up looking bad, even to our friends.
So, if we really respect our men and women in the military, we will keep them out of every war except those for which sure and certain proof of necessity, of vital national interest, is evident.

It was GHW Bush who introduced America to the New World Order, and then Bush Jr admin started to say we had to protect the father land. The Bush’s have brought us the fourth reich and the NSA is calling the shots on our policeing.

Exactly what part of what I said insulted any young person in the military?
-
There was no insult to any American soldier. The insult was directed at Bush and the other ChickenHawks, including Cheney and Romney.
-
Rather than deliberately distorting my remarks, maybe you can tell me what we gained from our invasion of Iraq, besides the carnage suffered by our troops.

Who was insulting. You seem like a trouble maker.
piobaire said, 10 months ago
@Radish
Thank you. I watched it unfold, as have you, friend.
The hubris is astonishing, isn’t it? If it was some other power with bases all over the world, we Americans would be deeply suspicious, if not offended.
