Blago really seems to feel that he’s totally innocent…. of course, this is “Chicago Politics”

Let this be a lesson to all…today’s Governor may be tomorrow’s convicted felon.

Or vice-versa, if you live in Florida.

Yes, it does explain why putting him in “solitary” would PREVENT “cruel and unusual punishment”!!

Excuse me for being born in Florida, then! Your comment got flagged because of that insult.

Why are you flagging Simon? He’s referring to the Governor, whose firm was nailed for the biggest Medicare fraud in history. He’s not insulting you.

You know nothing of a major news story that happened in a bordering state yet you spout endlessly about everything else. Hmm, interesting.

I too live in Tennessee and am aware of the Blanton administration problems that Tig cited. However Tig got a few details wrong. Members of his staff were investigated and in some cases convicted of selling pardons. Gov. Blanton himself was never charged nor convicted of these charges. He was however convicted of selling liquor licenses and did some Fed time.
As far as the Gov. Barbour issue is concerned, I live in the part of Tennessee a long way from Mississippi and his exit pardon controversywas very well covered in the news media. Knowing what I know about Tig’s preferences, I can only assume that NBC Nightly News with “Brain” Williams must not have covered it.

Is it of any interest that the most determined, and vitriolic, “conservative” statements and opinions consistently come from those LEAST aware of (or willing to accept) the FACTS?

That is the evening news I watch, and I heard all about Barbour’s pardons, some of which were for his staff at the Gov’s mansion. Also many went to felons who had served their time and were already out. Also knew there was a protest, and that the state supreme court upheld the pardons. SO, you need to apologize to Brian Williams.

Sociopath…nice, familiar sound, yes? We’re market-testing a series of trainings and courses so you can have your very own child, or even a younger person to whom you wish to give a head-start in the heady levels of national and international success in business and “conservative” (ie ‘Confederate’) politics…
We start with early playing with fire, consciously wetting the bed, and pulling the wings off insects and transfixing small animals with sharp devices, and proceed from there to appropriate age-related behaviors suitable for future CEOs and other decision-makers…
    Guaranteed results…
