Jeff Danziger provides a scathing international take on politics, finance, and everything else you aren’t allowed to discuss at the dinner table. Combining spot-on caricatures with razor-sharp writing, this feature will make you listen a little more closely to what they tell you on the news.

Whatever decision he makes about Afghanistan, it likely will be a nightmare, true that. I find it hard to believe that Obama could make a wise choice on anything in America’s interests.

sheesh danziger needs to improve his skill at drawing obama …. are you listening danziger? It’s off-putting and distracts from your commentary every time you do this.

He wins the Nobel Peace Prize and now has to decide whether or not to go to war. His plate is definately full.

He campaigned to solve problems, and was confident. Now, it’s his turn at bat. ….here come the Afghanistan ball……

Yeah, not drawn well.
But I wonder why righties hate having a president who thinks. I swear, they want stupid, vapid, uninformed, self-ambitious people to represent them. This habit of our president to think or read or plan seems to upset them.
They want action! GWB only had to go down 17 flights of stairs to Cheney’s bunker, have Cheney perform the secret “nut check” ritual, then run back upstairs and announce a war or two.
Sorry y’all are so intimidated and resentful of current events. Didja know that just this morning it’s announced that Karzai accepted the results of the recount and will participate in a runoff? A possible power sharing govt w/Abdullah? Why would President Obama decide the course of this war without knowing what Karzai intended to do?
Of COURSE you would do better, righties! Of course you would. Ask Michael Steele, S Palin, M Bachmann, DeMint, or any other sensible rightie you know. I bet they’d have a heck of a lot of ideas, huh?
No. They don’t. You don’t. All you do is sneer. Grab a mop or get out of the room.

HabaBuck, With what Obama was handed in January…. He’s making the most intelligent choices. Unlike Dubya who just listened to Dick like a LAP DOG, We could have been out of Afghanistan in 1 year and never into Iraq at all. Cheney & Halliburton made sure that Bin Ladin was never found. It’s all about GREED and WAR PROFITS!

All Obama has to do is actually follow through on what he and Biden said only one year ago. Iraq was a war of “choice,” and Afghanistan was the real front on the war against Al-Qaida. They EXPLICITLY said so over and over again. Now they are in power and they are “thinking” things over. No, Barack is refusing to be a leader, plain and simple, just like he refused to say anything for days while the Iranian government was brutalizing the freedom crowd after the election. He’s not a thinker, he’s the biggest intellectual fraud that we’ve ever been asked to swallow in the history of America, and it’s not even close.
