Don’t get sick! And if you do, Die Quick!

Let’s see, Olympia Snowe voted to move this along. She’s a Republican. The elephant is deep in snow.
The Republican plan so far is “No, no, no, no, no, no….”
The perceived intent is “Don’t Get Sick.” And, if you do, die quickly so it won’t cost as much. Maybe the Republicans should produce a plan to provide suicide booths, or some sort of cheap drug that kills quickly. Just as long as it isn’t a person that has been brain dead for many years, or a potential life in the womb that nobody wants or will take care of.
Maybe some Soylent Green for the “out of work.”

DrCanuck, I’ve been assuming ANandy was a guy. Did I miss something?
And have you noticed scottfrietas hasn’t been around the last day or so?
DrCanuck said, about 1 month ago
Yes, you did. She slipped in a comment a few months back on how hot a certain male actor was. Which leads us to one of two only conclusions. ….
But scott, unfortunately, is back and babbling on other pages.

OK, so Olympia Snowe voted in favor (although in the after vote press meetings she said she’d vote against a public option)
Olympia Snowe answers to General Dynamics. Put it this way, when they call, she’s available to talk. Why? Because GD owns the Bath Iron Works which makes ships for the Navy. It and the businesses that support it make up a heck of a lot of jobs in the Maine economy which doesn’t have many jobs to spare.
So why did her corporate overlords go along with her voting for health care reform?
Because they want out of the paying for health care business! Olympia can say she’s against a public option, and it may come down that Susan Collins is the Maine Senate vote in favor of the PO. Collins just got re-elected by a wide margin in ‘08. Snowe is up in ‘12 so the tag team may just pass the “blame” to Collins because she has a bigger cushion.
Neither Collins nor Snowe is going to upset General Dynamics. It’s ridiculous to think that GD doesn’t weigh in where they can on every issue.
Therefore I conclude two things (however the second thing is based on a conjecture)… One, that General Dynamics is in favor of a health care reform package I conject that GD does want a Public Option. Which leads me to conclusion two, the GD expects to dump their workers onto the public option thereby passing that expense onto the worker and the government.
What makes me distrust the Obama administration is that they don’t seem to want to cop to this probability. Everybody with eyes can see it coming. Therefore we expect that the government is trying to backdoor universal health care and is doing it in the least cost effective way.
