Does this mean you guys think Mark Sanford and John Ensign should resign immediately?
I mean, if you’re this ticked about a guy who was NOT a public servant ( and also single ) fooling around, then you must be a whole lot more outraged at what those two did, right?

The only thing missing from Mr. Letterman’s transgressions was the inherent hypocrisy of campaigning on a FAMILY VALUES platform to gain office while having the affairs.

Typical predictably silly, hypocritical, puritanical American bluster, all sound and fury signifying little else but how stupid, childish and empty is American morality, indeed all of American life.I have not heard any criticism of the eager, willing women who will do anything to get close to a famous wealthy man.Has there ever been a woman who said “No” ?

Jealous, are we! Are we not endowed with desires and the capability to pursue. How we conduct ourselves behind closed doors is our own business,at least it should be in a free America.

Here’s the thing-None of the ladies involved have protested. Letterman is very forthright in outing himself and is concerned that the ladies might be embarrassed by the publicity.

While I suspect Mr. Letterman’s motives in not saying anything earlier were more self-serving than altruistic, I do think the whole thing is a non-issue. For us, anyway. He’ll have to sort his life out himself.

I don’t care at all about Letterman’s sexual transgressions or any Politician or Hollywood type’s trangressions. That is for them to sort out and deal with the consequences. All politicians lie (that is what they do best). I only care the people break the law lying about it. John Edwards comes to mind most recently in possibly using campaign funds to hide his dirty little secrets. I don’t remember if Sanford broke any actual laws or not. I know there are many others of all political and social persuasions.

Sanford is alleged to have used state funds to travel to Argentina to see his mistress.
As for Ensign, he apparently paid to cover up his affair, possibly also with tax dollars.
Tell you what….I’ll agree that Edwards should resign from office immediately, if you’ll agree that Ensign and Sanford should also resign.
Deal?
Oh…and Edwards was NOT the most recent of the three.

Well Letterman did do something Clinton could not do. He manned up to his wrong doings after he got caught.
His problems are his own and aside from the clips with his mom, I do not see him as any “role model” figure for a family life anyway. So what is the big deal? WT you have a point in that studies have shown men who cheat have a higher rate of heart attacks.

why would he want to say anything earlier - that’s like kiss and tell but worse
in fact, if he had revealed it earlier, he could probably be sued for defamation of character or something by the women
now, this lame-brain extortionist has exposed everything and the burden is on him (but he doesn’t have enough money for letterman and the women to sue him)
tough business

Consenting adults, therefore, absolutely none of our business.
WW3 won’t start over that. I guess someone poked too much fun at the right.

That’s right. Blame the victims. She and he were consenting adults. Who cares?

Moral America wants to know: Has Letterman or TMZ reported how many of the women swallowed?
