The two videos I saw looked like escapees from the sanitarium running into escapees from a “fat farm”. Hmm thus the rhetoric of Limbaugh they were shouting?

Those town hall meetings are the sound of conservatives losing. If they could win this debate on the merits, they wouldn’t be afraid to let the other side speak.

The left has been shouting down conservative and moderate speakers for years. Now the shoe is on the other foot and the leftist don’t like it. I guess the message here is, “if you don’t want socialism you are a moron”. Nice. It seems freedom of speech only works in one direction now. The “liberal elite” mind set is, anyone who disagrees with me is too stupid to be heard. Better watch out. These “morons” are going to vote the liberals out of office in 2010 and Obama out it 2012.

So, how do you leftist explain the polls being heavily against the proposed health plan? Are 70% of the public morons? Andrea Mitchell put it nicely when she said, “they don’t know what is good for them”, when referring to the protesters. Could MSNBC try to be a little more obvious about being in love with BHO? I think not.

BTW, how’d the Lutherans get into this? I’m Lutheran.

    Danziger been watchin’ Gran Torino?

    As Walt Kowalski says:

    Everybody blames the Lutherans”.

Charlie, I think they’re upset that the GOP hasn’t offered them a few fat cheques for taking part in the Town Hall hooliganism.

They’ll go back to falling out between themselves, soon, just like fanatics of the far-right always do …

A great one, Jeff Danziger! I especially like the cap on the guy at lower right marked “vacancy.”

I recall a singing commercial for a brand of coffee – this was a couple of decades ago – for Chockful of Nuts (“is a heavenly coffee”). This cartoon of yours is truly chockful of nuts.

Anybody that has to scream their objections and can’t allow a civil discussion of the subject are absolutely untrustworthy. I wonder who pays their health insurance?

Stripper… How is your life any more validated or “worth the time” then those you describe and bash? Im sorry but a life is a life and until you are in the positionof needing help please don’t think you understand all.

Stripper… until you are in the position of needing help please don’t think you understand all.

I can think of two periods of time in my life when Life was really hard.

For two years after the military.

For two years after I lost a job that I had for 11 years. I earned well over a million dollars during that time.

It took about two years to have any sort of normal life.

During those two years I worked four jobs.

Monday thru Friday 8 am - 5 pm.

Monday thru Thursday 6 pm to 11 pm

Friday and Saturday 10 pm to 6 am

Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm.

This lasted for two years. I had to do this just to survive. I had to suck it up.

The weekends was sort of a slave labor weekend for me with minimum sleep.

    Responding to comment by GBruceWilson:

You are Blind! You see, Your Hero, That Evil Conservative President, George W. Bush is the one who told us during one his Prime Time Teleprompter (hidden) News Conferences the importance of Congress passing his Proposed Socialist Bailout of Wall Street and AIG International. All of the Right Wing Talk Radio Hosts told us We had to ‘save’ AIG International as they were too big to fail.

You conveniently forget this Socialist Bailout of Wall Street was D-E-A-D until your Conservatives added $100 Billion in their ‘Pork Spending’ to this scam Bill, Why do you support Conservative Style Socialism? Wall Street was Bailed out, and they spent our money on Huge Bonuses for their CEO’s and Top Executives. AIG International was Bailed our twice, and twice wasted our Money on Luxury Spa Junkets and Huge Bonuses. Bush said Congress had to pass his Socialist Bailout, they did. I punished My Republican Senator and my Congressman, as well as McCain and Obama by Voting against all of them as punishment for their Vote for Socialism as all of them Voted Bush 43’s Socialist Agenda. Oh, Bush 43 at the end of his term said we had to have Health Care Reform so we could have some type of Government Run Health Care to cover Citizens without Health Insurance with their Employers, or Employees who do not qulify as they’re only part time. Where were your Tea Parties in Protest of Bush 43’s Socialist Agendas?

    Bush’s socialism ROFLOL

have you any idea how the fanaticism of the US far-right - to which the Republican Party seems totally in thrall - looks to the other Western Democracies, including those with conservative governments?

Watching the baying hired mobs with their OTT handwritten placards and their regurgitated propaganda brings to mind the excesses of the more dubious Middle Eastern or African regimes more than it does a mature democracy.

Sorry, but for most of your allies of both right and left, Obama’s is the only civilized show in town.

I guess the leftists can spot a plant at a town hall meeting since they have planted so many aggitators and professional protestors. The old saying is “It takes one to know one”, and the leftists know them all.

Wake up and smell the coffee – both sides have and agenda and either way it includes taking my money. I work 60 hours a week and I earned it. What gives any of you on the right or the left to take my money? I don’t care if it’s to subsidize the purchase of an automobile (what’s up with that!), to give out corporate welfare (bailout), or to redistribute my money to someone you think deserves it more than me who earned it. The anointed evidently know what’s best for me and my money… not! Sure these guys are idiots, but so are the socialists – just in a blind and different way.

Ynnek - you said you live in another country. How is the American government going to take your money?

Hey certain aspects of socialism promoted with facism can promote a country into spurts of greatness.. Rember Hitler was a liberal if you look at his governmental control policies.. ;)

Though in fairness not all liberals are socialists some have great ideas. Some very intelligent people I know are very liberal. There is nothing wrong with this as long as people are willing to look at the problems without glasses shaded too many jaded ways in either direction..

Sometimes things need tempered in moderation much like too much conservatism can be a very bad thing.

Who is being afraid to let the “other side” speak? It seems that the White House is the one afraid to let the other side speak. The other side did speak and the White House along with the DNC moved immediately to demonize and de-humanize those who did speak out against this healthcare fiasco in the making.

I guess the White House and top Democrats are so arrogant that they can’t possibly believe that the American people in any significant number could oppose their policy. In their mind this must be fake and cannot be real so it must have been organized by big insurance and the Republican party. Too bad if they actually did their homework they would find little to no evidence of such a thing. Anyone notice the deafening silence of the health insurance industry – the same one that raised a huge stink via TV and radio ads during the time HillaryCare was on the table? They’re not doing that this time. Anyone wonder why? It worked great with HillaryCare and would work again…so why are they not doing it?

I see the hypocrisy….Cindy Sheehan and half-a-dozen people protest at Bush’s ranch in Texas and they’re seen as heros. Code Pink disrupts sessions of Congress and also are seen as heros. Of course, their views agree with those of the far left. When the average American protests and it doesn’t agree with leftist philosophy, regardless of anything else, it must be “staged” and “astroturf”. Every American regardless of view must be allowed to speak and be heard regardless of their view. The White House does not believe this.

I see many incumbents Democrat and Republican alike being forced to find real jobs after this next election. That is what would confirm that there is some hope that this country may not drive itself off a cliff after all.
