I don’t doubt he could have won, but I do doubt that he won in a landslide.

Yes, it was probably fraud, and the landslide status gave it away. Not subtle at all.

Iran is simply paying homage to Obama and his call for friendship by copying Chicago politics.

“I see a resemblance to Illinois politics.” Well, then you’re an idiot.

I see a foreshadow to 2016 … after the almighty does away with term limits.
He got some pointers from Chavez, I bet.

Seems a little like Florida 2000, but beyond that, don’t see any real resemblance…
Oh wait! I know! This is the one where the U.S. backs a pro-western moderate, so we’re told he’s a “serious contender” and then when he loses, we’re told it’s a “disputed election” huh? Like when Hamas was voted into power, right?

Subtlefuge and longtimecomicsfan:
If you haven’t lived in Chicago I humbly suggest you don’t know anything about its elections. Born and raised there, a loyal Democrat, I personally stole votes for JFK. I know you can’t belief it but dead men vote, people vote over and over again and elections get stolen. Just what function do you think the community organizers have?
My guess is you were unhappy with the results in Florida in 2000 but just play ostrich with what the Chicago machine does regularly. Don’t be naive.

GNW, fine, you know Ill. politics, but WTF does that have to do with the situation in Iran? If you have nothing to say about the topic at hand, how about keeping quiet and not wasting time and space.

Getting back to Iran, it amazes me to say it, but it looks like a social revolution is currently taking place in Iran. I believe the Cairo Speech emboldened the Iranians to stage this massive voter turnout and now this massive demonstration over the alleged fraudulent election.

Lets see if I understand. When moderates defeat Hezbollah that is proof that Obama’s “lets be friends” speech was a success. When the extremists win in Iran it is further proof that Obama speech was a success.
What exactly has to happen to convince Obamaites that you can’t play nice with a bully? Suggest you re-read Chamberlain and Hitler.

DEADHEAD: So a speech in Cairo emboldened people to vote in Iran, but SEEING fellow Muslims vote in Iraq had no effect?

I put them in on another ‘toon too, so this is the last time. Note that these are from those with personal experience in the region, something most of us posting here can’t claim!

Amhadinejad is weaker now that he’s ever been under Bush.

You people are giving OBAMA credit for the protests?
“I believe the Cairo Speech emboldened the Iranians to stage this massive voter turnout and now this massive demonstration over the alleged fraudulent election.”
Seriously, he isn’t GOD. Wake up!!!

Yes, because only GOD could make a speech.
