Jeff Danziger provides a scathing international take on politics, finance, and everything else you aren’t allowed to discuss at the dinner table. Combining spot-on caricatures with razor-sharp writing, this feature will make you listen a little more closely to what they tell you on the news.

We had a 1953 Fiat van in the early 1960s, towed it full of belongings to Utah in 1966. It finally died in 1969. We felt great affection for the old gray thing.

Interesting that it was an early post-war Fiat, part of European recovery after the area was devastated. Fiat Abarth cars a few years later were very fast and slightly more reliable. Early DKWs with three cylinder engines and front wheel driver were also unique. That’s the company we now call Audi. Maybe the fact that U.S. car companies went backward while other countries moved forward has something to do with the current status?

can somebody enlighten me about this toon? what’s the deal with Ginsberg?

Ginsburg has previously shunned the appeal on the Chrysler-Fiat deal.

Cpt, actually Justice Ginsburg issued a stay of the Chrysler-Fiat deal to allow the Supreme Court to decide whether it wanted to hear the appeal or not. Later, the Court choose not to hear the appeal.
I still don’t get this toon.

Her previous experience with a Fiat was the reason she wanted to stop the merger?

Seems perfect fit for Chrysler

Well, I for one, do not look forward to the days of driving a car the size of a Fiat cupholder. Ecology, be damned!
